PRESS AND HOLD THE "UP" BUTTON, RELEASE WHEN THE TIME GOES BACK TO REGULAR.... SOLUTION FOR 24 HOUR SET FOR 44100:
PRESS AND HOLD THE "UP" BUTTON, RELEASE WHEN THE TIME GOES BACK TO REGULAR....
The TIME button is pressed in already and I tried to press hour and minute and nothing happens. I pressed alarm button and hour and minute and that doesn't work either. Noggin your right! Hold down the Alarm Setup button for a few seconds and then push the On/Off button to switch between regular time (am/pm) to military time.
I have found many of the simple clocks only require
to "hold" the set or time button in for several seconds
and it will switch between 12-24hr mode. It will likely
need to be in the time set function.

I have one of these and I can't get it to display the time when the radio is on. It only shows the radio station. All the user guides on line say to push the clock set mode with the radio button to change it but this radio has no clock set button?
The "SET" button on the top left of the clock is the function button. To change the time press the "Set" button a few times until you see a clock on the left side of the LCD face if yiu have the battery as a back-up it will be AUX and a clock face. Release. Press the "FWD" button on the top of the clock until the right time is reached noting AM and PM. If you wait too long to press the button start again with the "Set" button selection. To set the alarm-Press the "Set" button for Wake 1. Release and immediately press "FWD" to the wake time. Same for Wake #2. To set the alarm to go off press the Wake #1 button on the bottom left of the clock. I hope this helps because I spent a long time trying to figure this clock out-no manual either.

Figured this out. You can change between military and 12-hour time on the awrc-1g by holding the Alarm Setup button down and then pressing the Stop Alarm On/Off button.
Hold the Time button for 1 second, then hold the Sleep button (both buttons together) for a few seconds until the time display reads 24H or 12H.

Have at look at this review site

- there is a lot of discussion about the controls, however people have asked timex for a manual and got no joy (please try them regardless);

and i have been unable to find one online - best thing to try is see if you can find a dealer who is selling it and ask if you can copy a manual - they may oblige.
Hope this helps a bit :)
Bose Wave Radio Model AWRC-1G does not have a time set mode. Only time-fwd and time-back buttons. Stays in 24-hour (military) time. Cannot find manual.
It is not easy for this SONY clock. If you really want to do, try understanding IC chip inside.
I have solved this problem for 2 sony clock. First, unplug, open the box and find IC. It's called SANYO LM8560. Check more detail from the internet. Pin no 28 controlls 12/24 hour mode. If you open the circuit for this pin by using a cutter to completely cut the copper lining this pin with the other. Replug, and set the clock it will turn to 12 h mode. If is still at 24 mode, it means circuit is still close. Try to do cutting the copper again.
The new annoying thing is at PM mode, two lines of the digit will light up. Get rid of this by covering it with a small dark piece of paper.

you have it set on 24 hour time instead of 12 hour time
it will change over at midnight to military time as that is when the 24 hour period ( military time ) starts
Bottom right button will change watch from regular time to military time. Just one push is all it takes...if you have the g-9700 the button color is red...hope this helps.
