Cannot record new programmes or view programmes already recorded

Hi there, my name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media department with DISH. What receiver model do you have? Is it the Hopper? If so, the issue is not because the receiver is defective. currently we are experiencing a known issue with our Hopper receivers recording shows that customers did not create a Timer for. We are working on getting this issue resolved and at this point we will need to submit a feedback form to our Technical Engineering department letting them know you are also experiencing the issue. Please send me your account information at: [email protected] or contact us directly at: 1800-333-3474 so we can do this for you. Please know that the issue has been identified, they are working on getting rid of it and working to push out the update that will correct this as soon as possible. What would cause reciever 2

Hello there! Becki Barned with Dish Network customer service here! There are a few reasons for this. There could be a problem with the receiver itself, cabling, or a component on the dish itself. Normally, it is due to a corrupted cable, or the receiver not being able to pull in signal. Unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds in most cases, will help. Blog back if any other troubles!

DISH Network DVR-625 DTV - AUDIO PROBLEM ON LOCAL CHANNELS ONLY

I am probably stating the obvious here but here it goes:
If the 625 is connected to the tv using coax directly try using the RCA jacks to connect directly to the tv. If the 625 goes through a peripheral first, eliminate that peripheral and conect directly to the tv.If the problem exists with different media connections still at the same tv you can remove the coax off of the TV1(3-4) output on the back of the 625 and attach it to the TV2(CH60-73) output. You would then change your tv channel from 3 or 4 to ch 60air or 73 cable(which will be the same channel that TV2 is normally on in the remote room without the 625) Once you are on the right channel you will be able to tune TV1 to your local channel using the TV2 remote. If the audio is good here it eliminates the TV coax input on the TV1 and the coax cable connecting it as the source of the problem. You will have already eliminated any other inputs on the same tv as being faulty by using the other connecting media leaving you with the internal components of the receiver as being faulty. In this situation I know of no recourse except the obvious.

Problem with recording playback

i would suggest unplugging the receiver from the power outlet for about 10 seconds and then plugging it back in, do not turn receiver back on, it should come up on its own after a few minutes, if it doesnt wait another minute and then press power, it will reacquire signal and then you can try again. is this issue only effecting tv1???

Dish Network remote and receiver problem

Hi Tracy, my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. With the TV2 remote working for both TVs, you will want to make sure the TV1 input on the receiver is connected to the TV cable (RCA or Coax cable) and TV2 input is connected to TV2 port on the back of the receiver. I will provide you our link explaining in more detail about connections. If you have any further questions I will provide you my e-mail; [email protected]. Here is the link I promised you: http://www.mydish.com/support/same-video-2-tvs

Dish receiver wont power up

angelspapa20, If there's no power at all to the receiver, then we can definitely check into it further. Try a different outlet if available to make sure it's not the outlet having an issue. If the problem persists, the receiver will need to be replaced. You can contact our main line, or email me directly at [email protected] to get that taken care of! It sounds like the dish may be mis-pointed since it's not recognizing all the satellites. My dvr freezes. i

Believe it or not, this could be a simple battery problem in your remote. When my battery is low in my remote, some buttons will work and some not. I'd try replacing the batteries in the remote first. If that doesn't work, I would guess that you need a new remote. Sounds like your DVR works fine manually, so chances are that's not the problem.
Hope this helps.
