test with another remote. buy a cheapy remote at dollar general and see if you can connect it to the tv with code number code numbers on internet

I recommend it as the receiver may be non functional for sometime before you receive a new one. Another point to consider is if you purchase a receiver on E-ay there is a good chance that that receiver may have an ooutstanding balance to dish owed by its last owner which will make it useless to you unless you want to pay the bill. 311 run about 99.00 from a reputable dealer and would advise you to pursue that avenue. I saw your post and I'm wondering if you are still having problems getting a picture on your TV. Is it TV 1 or TV 2? What type TV is connected? If it's a HD TV, you will need to go through your input or source list on the TV to find your picture on TV 1. TV 2 is generally on either channel 60 or 73. I hope this helps.

If you're sure everything is connected correctly check your tv input, there is a special input channel for each cable. FOR TV1: RCA: input 1,input2,video 1,video2, if you're using a coax cable: channel 3 or 4. If the problem is on TV 2 you're using a coax cable and it has to be on channel 60 or 73. Hola Jorge, disculpe la demora en responderle, quizas en este momento ya no necesite la respuesta para este problema pero me gustaria proveerle los detalles de todas maneras por si en futuro necesita ayuda esto le pueda ayudar. Este problema lo puede ocasionar distintas razones. El primer paso a tomar es: Por favor verifique que luces estan prendidas enfrente de su receptor. Bajo donde dice MODE la luz debe de estar en DUAL (2 cajitas) si esta en SINGLE, abra a puerta enfrente del receptor, oprima el boton que dice 'Mode' para poner el receptor en DUAL. Si este no es el proble may esto no lo arregla necesito que en el cuarto del televisor numero 2 (donde NO esta el receptor) usando el control que vino con la TV cuando la compro que ponga la Tv en el canal 60 si tiene una imagen necesito que agarre su control de DISH y en el control oprima el boton de SAT (el cual se encuentra en la parte de arriba a mano izquierda) una vez haga esto, trate cambiar canales. Si esto no funciona, otra vez con el control original de la Tv trate de poner la Tv en el canal 73. Si le sale una imagen, agarre el contriol de DISH, oprima SAT y trate de cambiar canales. Si lo recien explicado no le funciona, valla a la TV 1 otra vez. Con el control 1 en mano Oprima Menu y una vez tenga el "Menu Principal" en la pantalla Oprima el numero 6, espero dos segundos y oprima el numero 1, espero otra vez dos segundos y oprima el numero 5. Este proceso lo lleva a una pantalla llamada 'Modulator Set Up' En esta pantalla donde dice 'TV 2 OUT' bajo 'Channel' que numero de canal tiene? 73 o 60? Basado en el numero valla al cuarto de TV 2 y usando el control que le pertenece a la Marca de TV (no el control de DISH) ponga la Tv en ese canal. Esto tambien debe de resolver el problema. Hello! My name is Becki Barned, and I am from Dish Network customer service. The problem that you are having is simple to fix. Although your remote works for the volume, and power, it is not working for the satellite. It does need to be reprogrammed. Just take it to tv1. With your tv1 remote, press the menu button twice. Then with the tv2 non-working remote, hold down the SAT button until all the mode lights light up at the top, then release. Then press the #9 on the remote keypad, then the pound (#) button, then record (above the number 3 on the keypad) 3 times. This should resolve your issue!!! The satellite in cables play a big role in a receiver getting signal. Since they were disconnected, verify the cables are both hand tight and everything is plugged in.If the satellite was working before, but isn't after disconnecting there may be a connection problem in the line. At that point verify all the cables are tight, and you can also try swapping the Sat In cables around. The Sat In cables have to be in the correct port to work. Hi nganhoang54,A 1000.2 dish is mainly used on HD equipment to bring in the 3 satellites required. For a 322, the best choice of dish would be a Dish 500. To hookup a 1000.2 dish, you would need to point the dish, and run the line into a Diplexor. From the Diplexor side with one connection, run another cable into the single connection of another Diplexor, and from there one cable into a splitter for the Sat In connections. Take the TV2 Home Distribution cable and put it into the other port on the Diplexor, and connect TV2 from the open port on your first Diplexor.Let me know if you have any other questions!Tommy FaustDISH Social Media Representative
