Canon PowerShot A530 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
A530 flash problem
in this model the flash IC becomes faulty if so u should consult an expert.
Canon A530 black spot on LCD which is visible in the photos tried to clean the lensa but was in vain canyou help pls?
A blck spot on your pictures, means there is something blocking light on the sensor. Could be dirt, but more lightly is there has formed some mould.
Because you can't open a compact camera to clean the sensor, I think you can't solve this problem. Opening the camera is no option, because without skills, tools and manual, you won't be able to put the camera together. A repair shop most likely won't start the job, because the repair will cost more than a new camera.
Sorry I can't bring a more positive story.
Photos have stopped downloading
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa (
http://picasa.google.com ).
Battery is stuck
I have drilled a small hole in the exposed end of the battery, taking care to not let debris from te drill bit fall into the camera. Then turn a screw into the hole and pull the battery out.

What settings for macro on canon powershot
your problem is most likely your flash... I am sure you already know to push the button that looks like a flower to make sure you are in macro mode but your flash is burning out your shot.. turn off the flash by pressing the button that look like a little dragon tail and just use your ambient light and it should turn out better... a mini tripod will help as well
Is 16gb sd card too big for samsung a503
It's not the size of the camera so much as the age. The A503 was designed to work with SD cards, which max out at 2GB. It will not work with newer, larger SDHC cards. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.
Memory card error could it
No, but it might be that new 4GB SDHC card if you're trying to use such in an A530. Please see
this article for troubleshooting steps for memory card error problems.
How do I order a Canon Digital solution disk
Canon does not sell old versions of their software. The only place would be searching for used copies on eBay. But have you considered downloading your photos using a USB plugin card reader? They're very inexpensive, and very fast.

White/purpule screen appearing on LCD
Probably factory defective sensor. Canon had a recall about that a few years ago. Affected other brands too. Canon repaired my Powershot A95 free of charge when that happened, even though warranty had expired.
My a530 says" no memory
1. Go into the menu and find "reset" and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions.
Then, try your cards.
