Canon A530 black spot on LCD which is visible in the photos tried to clean the lensa but was in vain canyou help pls?

A blck spot on your pictures, means there is something blocking light on the sensor. Could be dirt, but more lightly is there has formed some mould. Because you can't open a compact camera to clean the sensor, I think you can't solve this problem. Opening the camera is no option, because without skills, tools and manual, you won't be able to put the camera together. A repair shop most likely won't start the job, because the repair will cost more than a new camera. Sorry I can't bring a more positive story.

My camera says memory card error no matter what card I put in. When I go to format it doesn't light up and it skips over it

What type(s) and size(s) cards are you trying? The A530 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Photos have stopped downloading

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Battery is stuck

I have drilled a small hole in the exposed end of the battery, taking care to not let debris from te drill bit fall into the camera. Then turn a screw into the hole and pull the battery out.

What settings for macro on canon powershot

your problem is most likely your flash... I am sure you already know to push the button that looks like a flower to make sure you are in macro mode but your flash is burning out your shot.. turn off the flash by pressing the button that look like a little dragon tail and just use your ambient light and it should turn out better... a mini tripod will help as well
