Hello. Turn the camera on and go to the menu. Find reset and reset your camera. This will take you back to the original factory settings. Next you may have to format your memory card. once again go to your menu and find format. Formatting will erase what you have on that card, so if you do not want to lose those pix save them to your computer first. Joe

A blck spot on your pictures, means there is something blocking light on the sensor. Could be dirt, but more lightly is there has formed some mould.
Because you can't open a compact camera to clean the sensor, I think you can't solve this problem. Opening the camera is no option, because without skills, tools and manual, you won't be able to put the camera together.
