Fuser upper failure is the

Hello, The fuser or fuser roller is what actually bonds or melt the toner on to your paper. There is probably some type of temperature sensor, that senses the temperature of the fuser. If its not hot enough or just plain dead, it will give out an alarm similar to what your getting. You probably need to replace the fuser unit. You have a lower fuser and an upper fuser. You might be able to get away with just replacing the upper roller. The roller has a heating element inside and that's what probably defective.
Hope this Helps

Hello, Our Tech person is gone

The only reason I can think that the tray would stop the door from opening is if it were slightly open itself. Try pushing the tray to see if it will slide in a bit further. The link below is an instruction guide in PDF format direct from the Xerox website. It gives a pictorial demonstration of how to install your toner cartridge.
Hope this helps.

Colors do not align

Apparently, turning the unit off for 30 seconds, then back on will force the Phaser 7300 to do a color alignment procedure (according to Xerox support).

Then, if the problem persists, you are instructed to follow a very detailed troubleshooting procedure which I will leave with you in the following link:

Try resetting the nvm settings (Pag 3 of the attach PDF under Support Menu >> Service tool Menu) And the next time you try to print configure correctly the paper settings on the printer and on the print driver. Please make sure your are configuring the paper weight correctly so that the fuser applies the right heat and pressure.

I think you might have a Spring missing for the Waste Toner Full Sensor. Truthfully, it is really hard to describe in a few sentences.

It belongs in the frame wall under near where you have the white waste toner section of the Transfer Belt. This spring pushes a flag up that hits the Paper Entrance Sensor (yes, near the bypass tray)

The PN for the spring is 116-2050-00

1. Open the web management page in your browser. Just put in "http://xxx.xxx.xxx" where the IP address of the printer replaces the x's. 2. Click on "Properties" 3. In the box on the left side, click to open the "Security" folder 4. Click on "Security Settings" 5. Find the line for "SNMP Read" and uncheck the box under "Any User" 6. Find the line for "SNMP Write" and uncheck the box under "Any User" 7. Click on "Save Changes'
That should cover it. Also posted a video showing the steps on youtube. Should be linked from here.

Colour test pages print ok

Hi.

The defect is called fading print, and may be caused by different faults.

To start, ensure that you have tested different magenta toner cartridges. A defective cartridge can cause the problem.

Ensure that Economy/Fast Print mode is not on. This can cause color fading print in some case.

Change printer settings to higher density and test again.

Adjust the light or darkness levels. If this model has color calibration options, from the printer's front panel Support Menu, select Improve Print Quality? then select Calibrate Colors Menu.

Once you have done all the above, you can say that the printer is defective. In that case most common faults causing fading print on one colour may concern high voltage unit and imaging unit. Most high voltage unit faults will affect prints in other colors.

When the problem is the imaging unit, the print fading is also often accompained by other repetitive defects, like lines, streaks, or fading repeating in a cycling pattern.

To inspect the imaging unit do the following.

  • Remove the magenta Imaging Unit, keeping the toner cartridge installed.
  • Do not touch the shiny green surface of the Imaging Unit.
  • Keep the Imaging Unit in an upright position to avoid toner spills, lift it up andinspect the shiny green surface underneath.
  • If the shiny green surface has scratches or damage, replace the Imaging Unit.
If the imaging unit is OK, then the problem is the high voltage supply to imaging unit. In that case there are different faults that can cause the problem.

Regards.

Phaser 7300 Jam at Fuser

need more info.

Are you printing more than one page documents? or are you printing a single page... because that would help to know.

The fuser is the most likely culprit. But it could also be a sensor somewhere. The printer has "timing" and when that "timing" is off even a milli-second, it will say JAM. Does it only jam on one type of media, or from only one tray?

need more info.
