Xerox Phaser 7300DN Laser Printer - Page 5 Questions & Answers
I have a Xerox 7300
Hi.
Xerox says instead that the user should never used non original or refurbished cartridges, as in a number of cases this had been proven capable of damaging parts like the imaging unit.
I am sorry for Media Science, but they do not even have permission given by Xerox to build compatible cartridges (
Xerox Corporation Filed a Patent Violation Lawsuit Against Media ).Cartridges that have not built and tested with full printer manufacturer cooperation cannot be free of problems.
Also, I know that the 7300 is probably out of warranty, but using this cartridges on a new printer may invalidate the warranty.
Media Science does not make itself responsible in case one of their cartridge has damaged a printer.
My suggestion is to use original cartridges in future.
Best regards.

No fusing at all. fuser cam stuck in open position
Probably a faulty Fuser. Try replacing the Fuser and see what happens.
Did the Fuser Upper Failure magically disappear? If it did, and you just kept on printing thinking it just "went away".... try a new fuser.
Hi, the model of the printer is Phaser 7300N. The
Most likely the issue is the Toner Sensor Board, located in the top cover assembly. It is pretty easy to replace/get to. The printer sends a 5volt loop from the Low Voltage Power Supply to the Engine Control Board to the Toner Sensor Board and back to the Low Voltage Power Supply. If this 5volt doesnt complete it's loop the printer will not turn on.
Try replacing the Toner Sensor Board, the Engine Control Board, or the wiring harness between them.
Your issue could use more detail so we could further understand EXACTLY what it is doing, but from what you having described so far, this may be your problem. But more information is necessary.

The fuser is the heating element and has to get extremely hot in order to fuse the toner to the paper. You might need to remove and reseat the fuser again or replace the fuser if it happened to get damaged from the removal and replacement. This is a direct link to the xerox site for a replacement. You may want to search the internet for competitive prices though.

Phaser 7300 jamming manual feed
Can you print fine with no jams from the lower tray?
make sure you have clean new paper and start out with the 11"x8.5' letter paper. If you have that then follow the instructions below.
- Make sure there is no peaces of paper jammed in the path.
- clean the rollers with regular rubbing alcohol sometimes the rollers get way dirty to pick up the paper.
- If none of these tricks helped you then you have to change the the manuel feeder. part # 116-1561-00 good luck.
The machine is showing the
If you power-off the printer, wait a few seconds, and power-on the printer, and still get the same error-message, the answer is 'NO'.
Take the printer to a qualified technician for remediation.
After setting the paper type to card stock to thin
This happens to be one of my least favorite printers.
Here is my suggestion:
Open up the cover and remove all 4 of the imaging units (with the toner cartridge). Also, remove the Fuser. While removing them, look for any bits of paper that may have gotten missed while clearing the jam.
Replace all of the items above and see if the printer still has a paper jam. It shouldn't.
Since, I assume you are manual feeding the card stock (the lower drawer doesn't allow for card stock to be used), look at the manual feed opening. There should be a small metal piece about 3" wide and less than 1/4" thick. Make sure it's attached properly. Ours unseated itself and is continuing to cause manual feed issues. This can be fixed but requires a good portion of the printer to be opened up to reseat the little metal piece.
Hope this helps.
Replaced Toner and Still Wants it to be replaced
You need to manually reset the CRU counter in the service menu to reset the toner count. This is designed so the xerox tech can come in and get paid for work. What you do is the following:
Enter the service mode by turning the machine off....then hold the (i) button and (<) arrow button simultaniously while turning the machine on. Then go down to nvram access enter menu, then go to CRU menu. Then go to the Toner CRU count menu, then select the toner you wish to reset and allow the machine to reset.
IF you need any parts feel free to come to my store

Cyan Imaging Unit Failure, U28 Error Code
the only thing I can suggest is to check the contacts that the imaging unit goes into, and i can also be the imaging unit itself. If i am not mistaken, you should be able to swap imaging units from another color just to see if the error goes away. But if this does not help, you will need to get it serviced. we have fixed these before, and its not a quick fix.
Phaser 7300 - one color fading on diagnostics page
Are you using third party toner? That is one thing that causes that problem. Use only xerox toner.
The other thing is that your image unit could have come defected, if it was brand new. Try changing the image unit and that should fix that problem. Good luck. 016-1993-00 image unit & toner 016-1977-00
