Reset imaging unit life

Usually it should do it automatically once you have replaced to a New image unit. If you are still getting that error then you will have to change the engine control board. You can first try this tip reset the nvram from the service diag mode some errors get stuck in the NVRAM and won't get off until a reset is done in the NVRAM. Hope this helps. Iteminconline

Paper jams by rolling to the fuser casing.

you must configure the page size, because the configuration jams have a page shorter than the product that you put to print.

Horz. streak approx.3/4 down on each page I print

Sounds like some of the magenta toner is left behind on the drum. The only way to fix it is to get a new cartridge.

Xerox 7300 print is pixilated

This depends on what you are trying to print and with what software. Most likely, you need to choose a higher print resolution in the software before sending to the printer, but more details would be required to give a precise response.

Changing resolution

You set the resolution in the printer driver before sending the data to the printer. Exactly where this will be will depend on which OS you are using and which software / driver you have installed.

Colour misregistration mystery

Various possible causes - the most likely are :1. Dirty registration sensors - remove IUs and transfer unit and inspect / clean sensors.2. Damages / worn IU drive gears - inspect. Replacing the gears isn't a small job, if this is your problem.3. Faulty colour registration shutter - you can check this is working in the service diagnostics menu.4. EEPROM problem on the controller board - replace main controller board. These are in order of likeliness. For further information, take a look here.

Error u26 phaser 7300

U26 is Yellow Image Unit failure. It may be that the contacts are dirty - spilled toner?? Give it all a thorough clean, especially where the electrical contacts are - if still no luck, then a new yellow IU should solve the issue.

Xerox phaser 7300 toner cartridge problems

Hi,
Sometimes on this machine as there is a lot of loose toner around it can cover over the sensors in the machine, what I would advise is to remove all the toner cartridges and check for the copper contacts on both the machine and under the imagining unit (which the toner is placed in). Once you have cleaned that away slowly close the lid and reboot the machine and it should return to normal. Its just toner getting caught up in the sensors. Follow the instructions below, when you remove the unit, lift it over your head to find the copper contacts and clean them, be careful not to spill toner everywhere. Good luck!

Reseating the imaging unit
    Remove the toner cartridge:
  1. Open the top cover.

caution_image88x30.gif The imaging units are sensitive to light. Do not expose the imaging units to light any longer than necessary to remove it and cover it. Failure to follow these instructions may damage the imaging units.
  2. Identify the color of the toner cartridge to be replaced (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or Black).

  3. Move the orange lever on the toner cartridge to the right so that it unlocks.

  4. Lift on the back side of the toner cartridge first, then guide the cartridge out of the printer.

  5. Set the toner cartridge on paper to avoid any toner spilling.

    Reseat the imaging unit:
  6. Lift the imaging unit straight up out of the printer.

  7. Line up the guide pins with the printer's frame and lower the imaging unit back into the printer.

    Reinstall the toner cartridge:
  8. Install the toner cartridge by guiding the front onto the new imaging unit first then lowering the back.

  9. Move the orange lever on the toner cartridge to the left so it locks.

  10. Clean the LEDs with the supplied wipe.

What does the flashing orange light mean on my

The flashing light indicates a warning state - such as low toner - but it will not stop the printer working, so there must be more than one issue if it is not printing at all. A flashing orange will be accompanied by a message on the screen to indicate which item(s) is/are in a low state.

We have a Phaser 7300N that will intermittently

These are 2 different problems. The fusing issue is that the fuser roller is controlled by the "ATC Anvil calibration". This requires Transparencies (PN 42527801) to be run through the Manual feeder. You may need a technician for that, or buy a manual

The "reseat message" is probably a warping "top cover inner frame" 116-1548-00. You might need to replace that whole top.

I moved my printer and now I get phaser 7300 power

U6 is a low voltage psu failure. It may be that the power connector to the engine controller board became dislodged during the move. You can check the details in the manual which you can download here.

Just downloaded latest OSX driver

I would choose DT, then you'll have the duplex function in the driver. The DT is the same as the DN, but has an extra paper tray.

Reset imaging unit xerox 7300

You can reset the imaging unit in two ways - either with a fuse, which will return the count to 100%, or in the hidden menu, which will not get you all the way to 100%. You'll find all the details about how to do it, and a lot more information about this printer here.
