A Very light Grey shade/Ghost like residue on glossy paper but not reg paper

I have looked and this problem confused me to no end.
I started searching through engineering notes from Xerox and found this line which I am copying and pasting.
This is not my opinion I can send you the entire report if you wish.
But sadly here is the answer.

Although supported, glossy paper will exhibit background toner and is a limitation of the printer technology.

Light lines showing up in all colors

I think this is rebadged OKI in which case it has LED array that goes across drums. You should see strips of LED's across under the top of the lid when you open it. Clean these with ALCOHOL swab ONLY. Let dry and try!

Tonner is not getting fused.

You most likely have a bad main board in the machine. It is warming up properly , but once warm it is not pulsing the heat rod to maintain temperature. If you just walk away for a while, does the machine finally produce a fault code?
The problem is in the circuit that maintains the heating elements. Once it gets so cool,it should fault out.
You could have software corruption and its mainting to low a temperature. Let me know if after sitting for about an hour , is there a fault code that shows up.

SRA3 printout is not same size but slightly smaller

Hi,

Try this!

Phaser 7300 Printer: Turn metric defaults on using the printer's front panel

The Printer's Configuration Page will show that Tray (1-5) is loaded with Tabloid Extra instead of SRA3. To have the image scaled to SRA3 instead of Tabloid Extra, turn On Metric Defaults at the Printer's Front Panel.
You can switch Metric Defaults On or Off at the Printer's Front Panel as follows:
  1. With Menus highlighted, press the OK button.
  2. Select the Printer Setup Menu by pressing the Down or Up Arrow button.
  3. Press the OK button.
  4. Select the Reset Printer Setup Menu by pressing the Down or Up Arrow button.
  5. Press the OK button.
  6. Select Metric Defaults by pressing the Down or Up Arrow button.
  7. Select On or Off by pressing the OK button.

Colors are printing too dark

Hi,

Try all of the steps on the link below but I would say steps 4 & 7 will help solve the problem, its just colour calibration but best to eliminate all the other steps just in case. Good luck

Multiple copy print

Try printing a menu map on the machine and if this is printing multiple copies then it is a machine fault, if not it could be a driver issue.

On the other hand if it is multiple copies on one page, follow the solution below.

Says Ready to Print but won't

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Xerox Phaser 7300DN will not collate

Try using the PCL driver from the Xerox website, rather than the Postscript one supplied with the printer.

I had the same problem and installing the PCL driver solved it.

Will not print multiple collated two sided publications without individually sending each job

I would try changing the driver you are using. There are multiple drivers and it really sounds like that will resolve your problem.
For the drivers go to Xerox.com.
on the tool bar select Support and Drivers.
Then enter your printer number, being phaser enter phaser 7300 in the search .
Select your operating system and there will be PS and PCL drivers.
I am 99.9 percent sure the issue is in the driver.
