My dryer wont work

Kenmore by Sears,
DD
This is really a simple project
I believe your belt broke and Kenmore put a kill switch to protect your motor and heating element.
there are two screws when you remove your lint screen.
Remove those screws.(philips)
With a straight screwdriver, gently pry up the top of dryer.
When loose, open all the way to the back and rest on the wall,
On each inside, behind the door, at the top, is a 1/4" bolt. Use Socket to Remove both. Pull up and out on the front and put it to the side.
Remove the drum.
Now you can clean the inside with a vacumn. See the kill switch in front of motor.
The model is inside the door on the left
since you have it apart check the drum rollers for flat spots as well as freedom in movement DO NOT GREASE
Put it back together

Got the dryer tore apart the belt was broke and pully was laying in flour ..question is where exatly does small pully go back in at?

If you look at where the motor is, directly in front of it on the floor there are two slots. This is where the the pulley slides in and rest. Washer wont stop filling and over flowing

To shut the water off, how do you do it? Do you simply turn off the machine at the timer or do you have to turn the water off at the home water supply? If at the machine, check the water level control or the pressure tub feeling this water level control. If you must turn it off at the wall , replace the water inlet valve. Just changed the thermal fuse ignighter glows but then nothing happens

check the wiring to the gas valve, then with an ohm meter check for continuity across the gas valve contacts, there should be a reading from anywhere between 30 and 60 ohms, this reading depends on the voltage provided from the controller, if there is a reading connect a voltmeter across the contacts reconnect the solenoid and wile watching the meter and turning on the dryer there should be a marked voltage appear across the terminals, at that time your gas should flow, this voltage is there momentarily unless the flame is lit and the controller has detected a flame so watch for it, if the voltage is there replace the gas valve assembly. if there is no voltage present than you problem may be located in the controller area IE timer assembly

My electric dryer heats up but doesnt dry the clothes

If your vent hose is more than about ten feet long, your dryer may not have enough pressure to keep the air moving sufficiently to dry the clothes. Is it possible you are simply over loading your dryer?

Most of the gas dryers have everything accessible by simply releasing the spring clips atop the toe panel and getting it out the way.
