Hi, best thing is to get the tyre removed and fitted at a reputable garrage, not sure if you have a brand new wheel, in which case you will need to remove and replace the bearings and seals from the wheel, seals just push in and bearings are a tight fit and often need renewing when removed, fit into new wheel in the same way, using a lite grease when re fitting, most discs are handed left and right, locate the direction of rotation markings which you will find on one of the spokes on the wheel, remove discs 1at a time and replace on to new wheel on the same side as that it was previously fitted on the old wheel, good luck

On a 1986 kawasaki ninja

This may differ from model to model, as a rough guide with standard jetting, 2.5 to 3 turns out, screw the air corrector screw home (in) all the way until it stops using no force, as soon as you feel it is home stop, then unscrew the screw 5 half turns which equates to 2.5 full turns as a base setting, any furter addjustments should be done in half turn increments in or out untill the bike runs at its best

My research shows that the damper also fits ZX10R (2004-2005). I would use caution when crossing bike parts. The part numbers are the same with a suffix letter different. This indicates a variation in the part. So although it may bolt up and perform the same, there is some difference.

My speedometer seems to read

unfortunatey you may not be able to fix this, speedos generally run from a sensor or cable at the front axle, and rely on the rotating wheel, and are not generally able to be calibrated.
An instrument tech amy be able to do something if your model?? has an electronic speedo, but the reading can change with different tyre sizes, and even slightly as the tyre wears

Correct, the bike will not charge. Aside from that, if the flywheel is actually bent, and it sounds that it is, you will need a new crankshaft and probably a new stator. Without major repairs the bike will never run again. The crank will cost around $650 and the stator will cost around $330 and if the flywheel has been damaged ( it probably has been ) it will cost around $330 as well. The cost for the repair shop will be around $2000 to $3000. The bottom line is that you got taken by the guy who sold it to you. He knew full well the repairs would be far more than the bike was worth. Unless you can get a good engine from a salvage yard, you are pretty much hosed. Google motorcycle salvage kawasaki and see what you can find. I am sorry about the situation. Best of luck to you. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

The only other way would be to locate the frame number and have a kawi dealer cross reference for a vin, but being 6 years old, might not be able to. cant the owner just get it off his registration for you ? aslo, becarefull of receiving stolen property, sounds like an issue to me.

Headlights on 2004 Kawasaki zx6r will not come on.

If the tail light comes on , then it may be the headlight bulb,so try with high and low beam
if the tail light bulb doesnt come on, then it can be a fuse, relay, switch block, ignition switch, broken wire, bad corrector and the list continues, so it is out with the multi meter and test light and some electrical knowledge to track it down.

I just purchased a 2001 zx6r and i put 1/3 seafoam

Sounds like fuel starvation, remove airbox lid and check the slides in the carbs are not stuck, this sometimes happens when the fuel in the carbs becomes old and forms a stickey bond between the needle and main jet diffuser, you may benefit from a complete overahaul of the carbs again, 2 years is a long time, and i would not find it unusual to do this anualy unless you continue to use the bike, remove the slides and check the diapram condition for holes, remove the mainjets clean, allso the pilot jets and clean them using a wire from a wire brush push through the jet twisting and pusshing, also blow out the holes the jet screws into, remove the float valves and clean them with some wire wool taking care not to damage the rubber tip, and the valve seating should also be cleaned,

hi best solution is to have the fuel tap on the "on" position as if your on a long
run out and forget to top up your tank the bike will splutter to a halt then all you have to do then is switch to reserve and find a gas station fast the idea is to buy you a bit of time, instead of riding on reserve which case you will just run out of gas and have to walk to the nearest gas station
