My 1996 Chevy S10 Blazer
Sandra, You probably will not get code from computer as it may not be hooked up to an engine running a carburetor in a 1996 Blazer. Carbureted engines were not installed in 1996 Blazers. Could be a lot of things, choke sticking/faulty,dirty carb, not set properly, bad plugs/wires, fuel filter/pump, faulty distributor/cap/rotor/electronics,vacuum leak, etc.
Best to have a good tech. have a look and estimate repair.

Runs good ,but at a stop its has a skip big time .
did you run the check engine light code? most car parts chains will check for free. it can be worn spark plug, bad spark plug wire, cap& rotor, worn rings fouling plug, valve seal leaking ect. i would run codes first, see what it says and help to isolate issue.
Why doesn't it start?
Usually marked on the fuse panel cover. If the fuel pump is dead, you may be able to wake it up, maybe. As some one tries to start it, other person needs to hit(rubber mallet) the fuel tank in the center of it. This jars the pump and sometimes they will start pumping again. But it still needs replaced. You can use a hammer, just don't hit so hard you dent the tank or worse, put a hole in it.
How can I replace the fuel neck?
The fuel neck is attached to the fuel tank using a hose connection and clamps. The other end where the fuel enters is attached to the body using small bolts. You will have to look up inside the panel area to see these bolts. The fuel neck may be extremely diffucult to loosen/remove from the hose connection at the tank as years of weather/elements will cause the hose connecting the two to become hard and will not want to come apart. Although a fairly simple repair, there will be a moderate level of diffuculty seperating the old filler pipe to install a new one
Why does shift selector go into park sometimes but other times won't?
The travel limits on the shift linkage at the transmission is adjustable. The nylon bushings on the pivot points may be worn too. Have a mechanic inspect the linkage for any abnormal wear on the bushings or the linkage itself. Renew the bushings before you try adjusting the linkage.
I have to spray starter fluid in the intake to
that indicates you have a fuel supply problem. a plugged fuel filter, or a fuel pump thats loosing its pressure. usually when you put starting fluid in throttle body. and it starts. thats a fuel problem.
