It is possible that a relay on the control board has stuck in the closed position. You can try tapping the relays on the main control board and this sometimes breaks them free. It still may be one of the door switches but I would suspect the control board or possibly a stuck start pad on the touch panel.

The kw3a switch was burned out on our Cuisinart CMW100. When we opened the door it would blow a fuse.

This is usually caused from a bad magnetron. Check the door switches first.

Check the internal fuse on the main circuit board, its probably blown. WARNING: Microwave ovens are very dangerous have over 4000 volts in the capacitor and can kill you if you don't know what you're doing! Make sure you discharge the cap before servicing. If you don't know how to do that, at least unplug it and let it sit for at least 20 minutes before you do any work on it. Same applies to time in between any testing.

Possible that the motor or the drive is faulty, you need to remove cover after disconnecting power and get to the bottom of the table from the underside. check the motor and drive , possible this could be the culprit. If not it can be failure of drive from the PCB, for which a voltage check will confirm,

It sounds like the capacitor may be shot. How old is it?
