I have replaced the fuse in the # cmw 100 but it blows as soon as i plug it in

When the fuse goes on a microwave, if you can't find any burned wires touching the frame, it is usually a bad capacitor... sometimes the magnetron needs replacing too.

Microwave won't start

I have the same problem. Is the light still on inside the microwave? Mine is on and the microwave thinks the door is not shut. I took the top off of the microwave and the latch needs to push down on a switch once shut. The latch was reaching the switch, but I think some spring in the door, pushing the latches down, has broken since it reaches the switch when closed but there isn't any downward force to flip the switch. I am trying to figure out how to repair the latch but if your light is on when you "shut" the door, you may have the same problem.

My microwave goes on lights but timer keeps running but no heat

There are three common issues, the magnetron, a cracked high voltage diode, and a short in the high voltage capacitor.

The light is turning on but it's not cooking or

HI. Your symptoms are a strong indication Magnetron failure. This is the principal heating device, that is used to produce microwaves that , essentially, excite the water molecules in the food, thus, producing the heating effect. When this device fails, generally, the unit will run, but not heat. This device is very fragile, and can injure you if you are not qualified to handle this type of component. There is a High Voltage Capacitor, that is used to help provide the necessary current for optimal Magnetron operation. This capacitor must be discharged correctly. If not, you could risk serious injury, during the repair, if it is accidental touched.

The Magnetron is linked to a cut-off fuse. If the magnetron becomes unstable, this fuse will shut the device down. It is standard procedure to have this fuse test for continuity. If the fuse has blown, this will be the culprit. Replace the fuse. Now, if the fuse continues to show continuity, this will confirm that the Magnetron has failed. I would advise to inspect the Capacitor, and HV diode for visible burn marks, or swollen top(Cap).

Access can be ac hived to these parts by removing the outside cabinet screws. Once the screws are removed, the cover can be removed, as well. Once the cover is removed, the internal components will be exposed for testing, and visual inspections.

WARNING: IF YOU ARE NOT A QUALIFIED SERVICE TECH, THIS WILL NOT BE A NOVICE DO IT YOURSELF JOB. MICROWAVES ARE VERY DANGEROUS, AND CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY. I RECOMMEND TO CALL FOR SERVICE, IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH HANDLING THE CAPACITOR, OR MAGNETRON.>>

If there is no light either, then it may just be a blow fuse. Look around the outter shell for screws to remove or little tabs to bend to get the outter shell to come off, then look inside by where the power cord attaches to. You will see the power inverter, next to it should be a fuse. Look at the fuse to see if it is bad. (it should have a little thin wire running all the way across it)
If the fuse is bad, replace it. It the fuse is good, then test power from power inverter to the control board .One of them could be bad.

Turntable does not turn

This problem is commonly attributed to a turntable motor that has worn out and needs to be replaced. The following link explains how to access and replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3555716-replacing_a_turntable_motor_on_a_microwa

This is a very simple repair, that usually is not expensive. The price range will be determined by the model and manufacturer. This repair can also be performed on an over the range model microwave oven WITHOUT uninstalling it.

You can refer to any of the following websites for comparison:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The first three sites listed offer helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you with locating and proprly identifying the part(s) you need.

If you have any questions, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this helps you.
