Hi,How microwaves are designed, this problem would be a door switch issue and a blown fuse. If this unit is new and under warranty returning as a DOA. I save any microwave i find thrown out. I take the parts off of many.. and yes they use a microwave light bulb. I don't know who sells them... likely an appliance parts place.

When the fuse goes on a microwave, if you can't find any burned wires touching the frame, it is usually a bad capacitor... sometimes the magnetron needs replacing too.
