The problem is in the magnetron or the inverter board if 7 years old or less.

The cause could be a defective magnetron, or inverter board, 7 years or less, or possibily the keypad control.

The magnetron has failed, only option is replacement.

It is normal to have a moderate sound, but if extremely loud it indicates trouble with the magnetron, should be returned for a replacement.

There are three common issues, the magnetron, a cracked high voltage diode, and a short in the high voltage capacitor.

This is a strong indicator the magnetron has failed "heats food" and is the heart of the system. If microwave oven is a few years old better to invest in new.
