According to: http://www.upgradecomputermemory.com/ram.cfm/memory/P/Panasonic/Toughbook-Series/Toughbook-73-CF-73

your CF-73 has "integrated" 256MB of memory, and supports a maximum addition of 1GB of RAM.
The web-site says about $33, which _definitely_ is a good investment to speed-up your computer.

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?CategoryID=1&DetailID=436&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=24&LanID=0

Your mainboard supports:

You can easy add 2, 1gb modules.

I recommend 2 gb ram.

Hi, I want to upgrade my RAM from 256 MB 400MHz DDR1 (hynix) to 1GB DDR1. Do the both will work together or i would have to use 1GB alone? Im having ASUS K8V- VM motherboard. Will it be compatible with...

It will be compatible but it is recommended, you use same type of modules(RAM)
ie 256 MB + 256 MB
1GB + 1GB
Plus the advantage of using two instead of one(If you want 2GB, go for 1-1Gb two modules, depends on you) are, if one fails other works.

Unit came with 2 256 mem sticks--bought and installed 2 1GB sticks(pc3200,400mhz,84pin,low density,DDR--unit will not boot

The 2 1Gb RAM are either the wrong type or they are incompatible.
Try to use the same brand and speed as the 256 Mb RAM that was installed in your Dell.

I have problem about ram

If the manual says this motherboard support up to 1 GB RAM, you cannot put 2 GB. You can put 2x 512 GB RAM or 1GB RAM
Also try to upgrade your bios, maybe a better bios version supports more than 1 GB RAM.

Increase ram

Hello,

You can use two 512Mb sticks which will equal 1024Mb or 1Gb.

Hope this helps.

Intel D845GBV Motherboard Problem

PC1600 runs at 200MHZ and PC2100 runs at 266MHZ..

Since your motherboard only supports a max of 266MHZ, I would recommend that. (not to mention that PC1600 is pretty much obsolete)..

2nd, you motherboard supports a MAX of 2GB Total ram.. So, you could install 1GB + 256MB.. But why not go for 2xGB?

The price for a 1GB stick of PC2100 is around $75-125 CAN. Not soo cheap anymore...
