The HP LaserJet 1300 does not have a print head. If you are having print quality issues then 9 times out of 10 it is coming from the toner cartridge. Simply swap it out if you have a spare. The only other possible cause is a bad fuser film which can cause double imaging or a problem where some of the print from the top part of a page is reprinted lighter at the middle or bottom of a page.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

How can I reset an HP C9381 head?

If your printer is reporting that a print head need to be replaced, then you really have little choice. These are Yellow-Black and Cyan-Magenta dual colour heads and are only available from HP as a service part. You will need to supply HP with the model and serial number of your machine. It is possible to clean the printheads and you can buy a clever device for flushing cleaning fluid through them to clear out blocked jets, but please note this does not bypass the built in recognition codes for new heads.

WHEN I MAKE TEST REPORT THE BLACK COLOR INCORRECT AND WHITE HORIZONTAL BARS APPEAR

If you already tried for cleaning, manually just try it as shown snap shots..Alcohol is best solvent to clean print head nozzles, use cotton or ear buds and swab on nozzles with alcohol, then try for print quality.. If no result replace black print head.. 1_4_2012_9_08_31_pm.jpg1_4_2012_9_08_58_pm.jpg1_4_2012_9_09_28_pm.jpg

Happy Spring.. I have a C7280 all in one..It is not printing in color...the pictures come out faded in black & white.. All my color cartridges are full...except for yellow..that is not completely...

You may need to clean the print haed. A self test report will show this, if so do the following

To clean the print head from the control panel
1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
2. Press Setup.
3. Press to highlight Tools, and then press OK.
4. Press to highlight Clean Printhead, and then press OK.
The HP All-in-One cleans the print head and prints a page that you can recycle or
discard.

Hp 1300 series horizonal bars onprints please help

Print heads on the printer cartridges are dirty/clogged. Try running a few cleaning cycles. If there is no change simply change the cartridges. If printing photos let the machines know that's what you're trying to do, it will overlap passes with the print head to hide lines.

Smudged printing. Ink cartridge just replaced.

This is a laser printer and does not have a print head to be cleaned. Fortunately it does have a laser cartridge that can easily be replaced and solve all of your problems : ) The replacement cartridge is a HP Q2613A or the high capacity HP Q2613X. Your local Cartridge World should have a high quality refilled cartridge that will treat you very well and save you money.

My HP L7580 Printer consistently needs expensive print heads

Have you done a deep cleaning of the machine since you got it out of storage? Is it possible you dropped the machine off the second floor at any time?

To clean, open the control panel - select your printer and open. find the maintenance tab and do the cleaning thing.

I think you then need to remove the driver and reinstall --- and possibly look to HP for a updated driver. Go to the device manager to remove or you can do it in the printer section of the control panel.

Also, you can go to PCPITSTOP.com and have your equipment scanned. Read the reports carefully for clues.

I hope this helps.

Something as simple as cleaning the print heads...

A bit of paper had jammed under the print heads and damaged them. The paper was removed and the print heads were replaced.

Thanks for the advice guys...

Hp office jet 7210 all-in-one printer

Hi , this is definitely a print head issue of the printer. You can just try one more thing - press set up on the printer - go to print reports - press ok / enter - go to self test report - press ok / enter
If the report comes entirely in red the printer needs servicing from the local service centre.Ithappens only if the nozzles of the cartridges are blocked and they do not let the ink pass out how many ever times you replace the cartridges.

K550 printer not printing Black

hi there is a simple solution to your problem take out the print head place just the jets( where the ink comes out) in warm water for a few seconds while it is in the water use a syringe over each breathe hole at the top of the print head (one at a time) and lightly push air into the head. this process clears any ink clog and frees up the print head and allows it to print propely
