The reason it isn't pulling from tray 2 which automatically is automatically the default tray is because the pick up rollers are bad. Replace them and you will be all set.

Firstly, is the exit bin full of paper? If it is, just remove it.

If not, then it's going to be a sensor that recognizes the paper amounts in the exit tray. Check for broken plastics and possibly stuck plastic flaps in the exit tray.

If it's neither of those, try turn it off, unplug, then reverse.

Other than that, if no go, then it's an internal sensor issue. At that point, probably the best bet is to replace as repair costs would outweight a new unit cost most likely.

Hi there is seems that the machine thinks there is too much paper at the paper printout exit. If there are printouts on the top of the printer remove them and the printer will start printing or the error message will go away. If there is nothing on top of the printer then where the paper comes out after it has printed you will see a black plastic lever type it is more likely to be in the up position without breaking it if it hasn't already been broken move it so it is in the down position it is on a hinge so be careful and it should sit at an angle. Once this has been done the printer will reset the message itself.

Hope this is help you oh if the arm is broken it will need replacing (just the arm)

Thanks J

Plastic flags in the output bin can get stuck

How to clear the jam depends on where the jam is.

If the Jam is in Tray 1:
1. If you can see the jammed sheet, remove the jammed sheet by pulling it straight out.
2. If you cannot see the jammed sheet, open the tray 1 door and pull out tray 2.
3. Push down on two tabs to release the tray 1 panel.
4. Remove the jammed sheet by pulling it straight out.
5. Push up on two tabs to replace the tray 1 panel.
6. Replace tray 2.

If the Jam is in Tray 2:
1. Pull out tray 2 and place it on a flat surface.
2. Remove the jammed sheet by pulling it straight out.
3. Replace tray 2.
4. Press OK to continue printing.

If the Jam is in the Fuser area:
1. Open the rear door.
2. Remove any jammed sheets.
3. Close the rear door.

If the Jam is in the Output Bin:
1. Look for jammed paper in the output bin area.
2. Remove any visible media
3. Open and then close the rear door to clear the message.

It is possible that the paper may tear when clearing the jam. Be sure to clear any paper fragments that tear off.

It is most likely caused by a bad toner, or a sensor flag. Remove the toner cartridge, and you will see two sensors.

Check to see if the sensor flags are all the way back. Sometimes they look like they are good, but a slight lean forward can cause the error.

Place a piece of tape to hold the suspect sensor. Put the toner back in (dont print anything) and see if the error goes away. If it does, you found the culprit.

Remove the shield, and you will see the sensor, and most likely the spring got dislodged or bent. Use a paper clip if you need to pull it back up.

The spring should look like the above picture and the sensor should be all the way back.

The tray lifting error is displayed as 60.02 Tray 2 lifting error. To fix this error, check the surface sensor of the paper tray2 in the Manual Sensor Test 2 menu under the Troubleshooting menu.
Connect back the cassette lifter motor and the DC controller PCA's connectors and now, replace the filter driver unit in your printer.

Not to sound like a smart aleck...do you have enough toner in it? Can you print a test page? Sounds like a toner issue to me.

Pages print but are totally blank.
  • The sealing tape might still be in the
    print cartridges.
Solution "Verify that the sealing tape has been
completely removed from the print

  • The document might contain blank
Solution "Check the document that you are
printing to see if content appears on all
of the pages."

Clean the rubber intake rollers with alcohol and allow to dry for 10 minutes. Take the tray out and you should be able to see the roller inside. Also check to make sure that the printer is default to tray 2. Use the Menu option on the LCD screen of the printer. Set the default tray to tray 2 in the windows driver as well. You should be able to easily get to this by hitting "ctrl+p" when you are ready to print a document.

Do calibration First.
