may be the ink cartridge is empty/not working. remove and return then restart the printer. if empty u can buy a new one. if u are a risk taker buy the black ink then a seridge and a niddle then refill it.

One of the lits isn't closed, open every lit and close them again. Normally that should do the job.

If your printer is reporting that a print head need to be replaced, then you really have little choice. These are Yellow-Black and Cyan-Magenta dual colour heads and are only available from HP as a service part. You will need to supply HP with the model and serial number of your machine. It is possible to clean the printheads and you can buy a clever device for flushing cleaning fluid through them to clear out blocked jets, but please note this does not bypass the built in recognition codes for new heads.

Have you tried unplugging and re-plugging everything? The printer should print the first document on the list once plugged back in.

Reinstall the drivers.Or just try unplug for a couple of minutes to clear the buffer

Check all computer connections and cords. Is the powerstrip for surge protector light indicator bar (usually inside the off/on switch itself) on? All it takes is a pet to walk over it or a foot to bump a cord and break the power connection. Mine do it all the time. Check the power on/off button on the printer to see if it accidently got powered down.
