New dysonv7 has only been used a few times. It was functioning correctly initially now after using it with a fully charged battery instead of running smoothly it is pulsating. no visible blockages.

This is usually caused by blockage or dirty filter. Try removing wand and brush head then switch on if machine still pulses pull out top conical filter switch on again if it stays running it will be the filter needs a good clean or replacing. I'm taking it that the bin is empty .
if machine runs ok with filter in and wand removed check brush head and wand for blockages.

How is a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball supposed to get suction when in the rotating brush mode?

There is a short tube at the bottom and the changeover valve that switches from tools to the floor when you pull the handle back into vacuuming mode. Make sure the valve is switching back and forth smoothly and properly.

My powerhead shuts off after about 15 seconds of running. It will turn on again after a brief rest. What could be causing this?

sounds like it's overheating and tripping the breaker. When it shuts down try pressing the little red breaker button. Could be a restriction of the rotating brush or a short in the extension connector. Remove the bottom plate and visually check for a cord or string wound up in the rotating brush mechanism and check the extension tube and flex tube for obstructions... Try the head without the wand by just connecting it directly to the flex tube and see if this makes it work without shutting off. I'm betting on something binding the roller brush and causing it to overheat...

My brush is not rotating

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear your DC33's brush bar is not rotating. This is likely to be because the brush control on the cleaner head has accidentally set to 'Hard floors'. In this mode, the brush bar will not rotate. Please recline your machine into the vacuuming position, turn it on, and make sure the brush control is set to 'Carpets'.

I'm confident this will resolve the issue, as using and replacing the wand will not have any effect on the function of the brush bar. It's also important to note that the brush bar will never rotate when the machine is standing upright.

If you would like further assistance after you've checked the brush control is correctly positioned, please get in touch with us directly. You can reach us on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

Best wishes,

How do you remove brushes and clean under the cover?

I too have this machine. On this particular model the brushes are not removable like on the newer versions. You can either purchase a "cleaning wand" from Hoover OR create your own as follows: Simply obtain a pendaflex hanging file folder (legal size) and remove the metal rods. These rods work exactly like the Hoover wand they try to sell you. They are quite flexible and easily slide thru the clear plastic openings at base of cover. The hooked ends work wonders in removing furballs, hair and other debris that gets trapped under the cover.

Meile SEB 213 powerbrush cuts out

Your problem is either in the wand, assuming you have the telescopic dark grey electric wand. The only other thing it could be is the hose, once again, assuming you have the electric hose with either the rocker switch that shuts down the power brush, or the deluxe hose, with the electronic suction control, as well as the brush shut off. Miele wands and hoses are notorious for causing power brushes to cut off. If your Miele is under two years old, I would suggest taking it to a autherized Miele service center, and see what, if any, warranty you have left, and have it checked out. Let me know how you make out.

The roller brush will not stay on-& the cord rewind is stuck on

There is a reset on the power head, does the wand fit tight in the neck of the power head, if not you may have a problem there, either the wand or the neck. If the lever is stuck on, then it is jammed or broke, maybe a spring is out of place, in any event the canister will have to be taken apart to see what the problem is.

Rainbow e series vaccum/scubber

If you are talking about the hard wood floor brush you hook it at the end of the one slightly bent wand. Look at the end of the brush that you would hook to the wand. In the circle opening there are two slits. On the end of the wand there are two bumps. You need to line them up, push the brush on then twist it around so it stays on. then you attach the straight wand to that and the other slightly bent wand at the other end of the straight one. It will go like this Wet hose, slightly bent wand, straight wand, slightly bent wand, and floor brush. I hope I helped. Leave the basin empty. put your water or cleaner on the floor scrub it around then turn machine on and suck it up.
