Hi I have a canon printer/scanner/copier, but cannot make the scanner work. The printer & copier works fine, but not the scanner. It is a different PC to the initikal set-up. Do I need a scanner diver as well as the printer driver?

Hi I found one solution through Google. See if it works.
I had the same problem: suddenly the scanner took ages to calibrate/warm
up. Turns out it had to do with the upgrade to Leopard or one of the
updates (I'm on 10.5.7).
Now it scans without delay. Could have saved myself a lot of waiting a lot earlier!
Saving scans:
I always scan from the MP Navigator instead of from the scanner itself,
so I can pre-edit the scans and save as .jpg to the folder I want and/or
as a .pdf. Works for me....
may be you not installed the scanner application software if you have driver disk of printer choose the customs installation and select the scanning option menu and re install it the application.
Read the Manual (comes with Tool). If you don't have the Tool download it from the Canon site. Go to the copier and press the System/Options button next to Copy/Mailbox/Fax. Press Online. Then try scanning. Go back to copier and press Offline so can photocopy again.
