if the clogging is worst then the deep head cleaning wont help.the head will need to be cleaned up manually and the waste ink pad in the printer should be cleaned too. this is covered normally in printer servicing.give special instructions to clean the head properly while you hand over the printer for servicing to any local tech. head cleaning and servicing will solve the issue

Issue: Paper feeds skewed
Solution: Clean The Paper Feed Rollers Using The Operation Panel - MP600

Clean The Paper Feed Rollers Using The Unit's Operation Panel If the paper feed roller is dirty, paper is not fed properly because the paper feed roller slips. Cleaning the paper feed roller could resolve the paper feeding problem. Please follow the instructions below to clean the Paper Feed Rollers directly from the unit. Caution: Since the cleaning process wears down the paper feed roller, perform this procedure only when necessary.

1. Ensure that the machine is powered on and remove any paper from the auto sheet feeder or the cassette.
   
   
2. Use the <Feed Switch> button to select the paper source where you do the paper feed roller cleaning. Click for here additional information.
   
   
3. Press the <HOME> (A) button.
   
   
   
   
4. Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel (B) or press the right / left arrow to select [Settings], then press the <OK> button.
   
   
5. Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel (B) or press the right / left arrow to select [Maintenance], then press <OK>.
   
   
6. Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel (B) or press the up / down arrow to select [Roller cleaning], then press <OK>.

8. To check if the rollers are clean, load a sheet of Letter-sized plain paper in the same paper source you selected in step 2.

10. Use the up / down cursor button to select [Yes], then press the <OK> button. (Paper will be fed.)

Paper Source
Press the <Feed Switch> button to switch to toggle between the Automatic Sheet Feed (ASF) or Cassette. The light will come on when the <Feed Switch> is set for that paper source.

Right ... After 5 minutes of looking and fiddling I have found the solution!! press the button abover HOME and it should change the tray in which you are printing from :D

Problem solved

That would apply only if your modem (router) has a WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) button on it. It is located on the modem (if applicable), not on the printer. Hope this helps.

This answers with a titch more detail.
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.
Some where in the paper path a sensor is activated indicating paper jam so the printer will give off a 6A00 code.
As a Canon tech, I usually find the code, almost 90% of the time, is related to the purge unit being jammed with something and not being able to move.
Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

And yes I have found all those things in a purge unit.
The offending item needs to be removed or the purge unit needs replacement.
Incidentally, the 6A00 error pertains to all Canon printers made in the last several years, its not just used in one model.

And it’s always a paper path error or purge unit.

The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Also clean the purge unit out make sure all is clean.

6000 is a paper jam or jammed sensor.

According to the quick setup manual, this printer supports only bluetooth. In other words it is not a wifi printer. In order for you to be able to print on it with a wifi device like a tablet, you will need first to connect your printer with a usb cable to a computer that is connected to your wireless network and then you will need to share the printer on the local network. During the installation process to the connected computer, you should be asked wether you want to share it or not with the network. Simply answer "yes"

The U043 error code indicates that an ink tank is not installed. One or more ink tank icons on the LCD should also be lit up. The lit up icon indicates the applicable ink tank. Verify these tanks are indeed fully seated in the print head and that they are lit up red.

You can also press the OK button to clear this message and continue.

Look inside for a tiny object like a piece of paper, a staple...

Solution 2:
There is a thin plastic strip running across the width in front of and below the drive belt: there are fine black vertical lines on this strip. If the strip gets a piece of crud on it, you get an error during the start-up sequence.
Gently clean this strip with a damp lint-free tissue

Kindly remove the printer from add or remove place and then re install the printer from 0 it will start work and kindly remove the old printers from your computers which are no more available to you.

I just had the same problem, tried everything and resigned myself to buying a new one. I was about to throw the thing when I saw the Card backing of an A4 Pad. I thought I have nothing to lose so forced this through the machine and Bingo. It cured it. 

Hi, Be sure to check the printer settings to make sure the wifi option is selected on the printer itself. Once wifi is turned on reboot your computer. It should find it then. Check back if that doesn't solve it and together we can continue the troubleshooting.

1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord from power supply
2. Plug the machine back in and turn the power on NOTE- If you disconnect the power plug, all the faxes stored in the machine's memory will be deleted

If the error message is still showing, then it is necessary to deliver or send the printer to an authorised repair centre. I am assuming it has run out of warranty, so any repairs will cost you. Also It may be worth checking the roller bar and rollers to ensure they are running at the same speed when flipping the paper over. Regards David

Hi Roger, I'm not sure why your trying to play an mp4 on a printer. The Cannon Pixma MP600 does not play mp4's. Sorry about that, perhaps you can put it in your CD rom drive and it will play. Thanks Mark
