I don't have this machine, but mechanical items with moving parts need to be oiled. I would check in your users manual. It should give you a schematic on the places to oil. Use sewing machine oil so it doesn't get all gummy and cause more problems.

I had the same problem and, at first visit, I couldn't find the manual on the Husqvarna site. However, if instead of typing in 324R in the manuals search box, just type in 324 and up come 17 different items, 2 of which cover your brushcutter (and mine).

If this was started without oil in fuel, then the piston is likely scored, and the compression rings stuck in a smeared aluminum mess. You can remove the muffler and probably see the damage to the piston. It can probably be repaired though. Take it to a reputible shop, then read the owners manual and get some help to learn how to safely use and maintain your investment that you have in this saw.

Sounds like your bobbin winder has broken down, Kate. Nothing for it but to take it in for repair I'm afraid. It happens - you didn't necessarily do anything to break it - it is just a weak spot in these machines. I think everyone who owns one has had their bobbin winder repaired once, at the very minimum! (Coming up to repair No.3 for mine - luckily mine still winds, but just won't stop when the bobbin is full so I have to manually stop the machine.)
