What software are you using? You need to read the disk back to your PC in Disk Manager (VIP, 3D or 4D software) or use the input/output of Embird, if that is what you have. The disks that are used in the Designer 1 are not able to be read directly by a PC in Windows Explorer because they are in sewing machine language, not PC language. You can combine designs and lettering on the Designer 1 machine, without having to use PC software at all. Let me know if you need help with this.

You need a service cassette (Service D-card) to do that on the Designer 2 and the Quilt Designer. It is expensive and only available to authorized service techs.

Are you refering to the stitch plate? If so, why does it take more than index finger pressure on each side of the plate to move it toward you?

I suspect the calibration of the screen is out of adjustment. Take it to a professional but don't let them replace the screen or motherboard before asking them whether they tried to re-calibrate the screen.

I think the needle mechanism is out of adjustment. In the center position, is the needle centered over the hole in the needle plate (check with a plate that has the single hole for straight stiching, not the slotted hole for zig-zag sewing). Take it to a professional for a tune up.

Sounds like the embroidery arm belt stop is out of adjustment. Unless you're pretty handy, take the machine and arm to a professional. If you're going to tackle it yourself, get a service manual for the machine.
