I have a 1996 Audi a4 2.8 non quattro. The ABS brakes keep locking up while driving. They start off normal and within a few miles they gradually lock on.

What could be problem if my 1994 1500 suburban brakes are locking on a sudden stop.

If the vehicle does not have ABS brakes, The wheels will lock on a hard/panic stop. This is why ABS was developed so the operator can maintain some control during hard/panic stops

What does the ABS light mean in an Audi A4 Quattro 2002, it comes on every other time I start the car. I even went to put brake fuild in it and the fuild looked like it was full.

This is the light for your anti lock brakes. This is the unit that allows you to stop without locking up your tires. This is a system of sensors, pumps and actuators. This light is telling you that there is a problem with your ABS system that needs to be inspected for proper operation. Most all of your brake shops have a computer that will diagnose the problem for you for a small fee.Your brakes will still work but I don't recommend putting it off.

When i start my car it just cuts off again this happens a few times then works fine, also after a few miles of driving the abs warning light comes on my car is an N reg audi A4 automatic 1.8

Hi, I had the same problem. it is the imoboliser, it reads a code in your key while starting. you need to get the code in the key reprogramed. if that wont work you will need to get a new ignition barrel. Audi dealer will reprogram your key.

Audi Quattro A6 will not go into drive

It's the brake pedal switch. There is a switch down on the pedal arm that closes when you press the pedal down, and sends a sensing voltage to the controller, telling it the brakes are applied. This allows the transmission lock to disengage so you can shift out of Park. When that switch fails, the lock won't disengage. You need to replace that switch and you'll be fixed.
