I suspect low brake fluid but I can't figure for sure where to put the fluid. The apparent fluid cap near the firewall has no label and it is hard to see the level of fluid in the associated fluid container.

the light is turned on by the emission system. Go the nerest autozone an have the check the codes and reset it. It could be as simple as the gas cap is loose.

sounds like you have a blown head gasket this would explain loss of coolant and running poorly excessive smoke.
SOURCE: putting in brake fluid in a 1996 sebring
sounds like you may have air locked in brake lines or else a bad proportioning valve what that is is a junction where all your brake lines tie together and it is what determines what wheel gets the most fluid pressure.. are you sure it is not getting pumped out of the system ?(tip) look at the wheels on the inside all this requires is putting your head under the car..see if the inside of the wheel is wet if any of the four wheels are wet have the brakes done on that wheel or if you are able do them yoursel you can save your self some money ..at any rate check them ok? and keep me posted we will try to get you going email me with results to [email protected]
