Red brake warning light comes on when the car turns a corner or comes to a stop.

I suspect low brake fluid but I can't figure for sure where to put the fluid. The apparent fluid cap near the firewall has no label and it is hard to see the level of fluid in the associated fluid container.

Fluid is low probably due to worn brake pads. factory specs are dot 3 fluid. fill to full line. may need a flashlight and a funnel to add the fluuid. hope this helps

SOURCE: 2001 Chrysler LHS warning light

the light is turned on by the emission system. Go the nerest autozone an have the check the codes and reset it. It could be as simple as the gas cap is loose.

SOURCE: putting in brake fluid in a 1996 sebring

sounds like you may have air locked in brake lines or else a bad proportioning valve what that is is a junction where all your brake lines tie together and it is what determines what wheel gets the most fluid pressure.. are you sure it is not getting pumped out of the system ?(tip) look at the wheels on the inside all this requires is putting your head under the car..see if the inside of the wheel is wet if any of the four wheels are wet have the brakes done on that wheel or if you are able do them yoursel you can save your self some money ..at any rate check them ok? and keep me posted we will try to get you going email me with results to [email protected]

Abs & brake warning lights come on. if i push the hand/emergency brake and then release it the warning lights turn off. when i ride the brake as i am coming to a stop and release the brake to drive...

{: ) Check first if your brake fluid is low. Better top it up at maximum level. Look also for possible brake fluid leaks. It can also be a fluid sensor or wheel speed sensors at fault. If the warning lights persist, I suggest a scan tool vehicle check to effectively pinpoint the main cause of the warning light issue.

The brake light on dash comes on when going around corner...I put 15" wheels on it....as I drive it used to go off,but as soon as i go around another corner back on it comes

If it's the red light, it means you are low on brake fluid. Usually because the brakes are so worn that the fluid is all in the calipers. Check the front brakes for wear.

My brother has leant me his 1993 Ford fairmont EB11. A red light is flashing intermiitanly it looks like a fan in some kind of cylinder. Could someone tell me what it is?

  • Full instrumentation pack (four ancillary guages plus tachometer) - with volt meter & oil pressure guage.
  • Speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, fuel guage & water temperature guage standard in addition to the above.
  • WARNING LIGHTS: High beam, rear window demist on, turn signal / hazard light, alternator fail, lights on, park-brake on, washer fluid low, radiator coolant low, cruise control indicator and low oil pressure.
  • AUDIBLE WARNING CHIMES: low fuel, lights on, low alternator charge, low oil pressure, high coolant temperature and brake failure.
  • Trip Computer standard featuring fuel consumption figures, distance to empty, average speed & time display.
I found this site, no mention of the fan in a cylinder, but I'll let you figure it out. Hope this helps.

Mini cooper Warning lights for abs, low tire, traction comes on

Ok, check the brake fluid level for a start. This could mean a few things. Your brake pads might be worn down, which would bring a yellow warning light on(triangle), at the same time with the pads being low it will have displaced the fluid, making the level low, this would be a red light on. Now because of this the body control module has detected these faults, will have turned the abs off, hence the abs light.
If brake fluid is low, this could confirm my theory.
If its low, top up with dot 5 brake fluid and take to garage to have new pads fitted.
