For strangeness like that you need an auto electrician rather than falling into the 'let's try replacing this' method of auto repair. Their $5,000 pro grade scan tool computer can diagnose and record TCM issues as they happen and solve anything to do with electronics, modules and the ECM / BCM / TCM.

The amp relay is in the Relay/Fuse box located under the hood. The amp relay is the one labeled NBS which stands for Name Brand Speakers.
If you are trying to install an after market radio in a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country, you may notice that no sound comes from the speakers. This is because the single wire that is connected to the factory radio sends a signal to the Bus which tells the relay to turn on - powering the factory amp.
I bypass this by running a wire from the red Acc power wire on the radio to the relay. Connect the wire to pin number 87 on the relay. When standing in front of and facing the van, pin number 87 is the pin, on the NBS relay, which is closest to you and furtherst right.
Are you looking to replace the amplifier? or bypass the speaker wires??
Usually factory amplifiers in vans are under the P/S Front seat. However they can be up under the dash as well (P/S).
If you're looking for it because it is not turning on - check the relay (as above).

This answer is for the 3.8L 6cyl engine.
The Fuel Filter is located:
Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line
Follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative wire-you don't want the airbag to get activated while you are working
2. Remove everything around the steering and ignition area. You would have to remove two screws under the column area
3. You will notice that some gears are on top of the column and the tilt release teeth. When you lift up these gears or teeth, the steering can be moved
4. Ensure that the linkage is maintained between the top gear and the lever-simply pull the lever and see if it is raising the top gear
5. If you feel it is stuck, spray on some WD40 to drive away any present rust or debris. Also, move the steering up and down, and alongside move the lever which is present behind the indicator lever
6. If still it is not solved, use a Philips-head screwdriver to raise the geards manually, and position them in the right place
unless you have already tried the 2004 onwards can be downloaded from this site. However, not sure if the 2001 model is much different. You could send an email to the contact listed on the site.
If im not mistaking, you said you have no power to your interior lights and heater controls when you have your key off or not on? in order for you to have power to your heater controls your key must be on or accessory. your light not working? you may have turned your switch off to your interior lights by accident. on your entry door, it could probbably be dead batteries in your remote if it came with one.
this is the anti-theft system. TO bypass this: Insert key and turn to ON position Leave in on position for EXACTLY 10 minutes. As SOON as light turns off, start car.
Yes you can adjust them yourself. First you need to check that the wiper arms are not bent. If not, remove the cap at the wiper arm base, under it u will find a nut, remove this nut. you should now be able to remove the wiper arm. (it is comon for caravan wiper arms to be corroded on. If the arm dosen't come off, you may need to heat up the wiper arm with a propane torch. be careful not to melt the plastic cowel under the arm. OR you can use a wiper puller or a battery puller. do not force it, you can break the arm, DO NOT PRY AGAINST THE COWEL OR WINDSHIELD.
Once both arms are off, turn your van on and turn the wipers on. watch the wiper posts, turn the wipers off and watch the wiper posts return and stop in the "parked" position. Turn the van off. Install the passanger wiper arm first, it is positioned closest to the bottom an inch or two above the black cowel. It should be parrallel to the cowel. next install the drivers side wiper arm. it is positioned about 4 inches above the passanger wiper. again running parrallel to the cowel and passanger wiper. tighten the lock nuts down (do not over tighten) wet down your windshield with glass cleaner or windshield washer fluid and test wipers. If they still hit you can lower the passanger one a little or raise the drivers one a little (careful you don't raise the drivers one too much or it will 'jump' off the windshield at the top of the wipe).
good luck, hope this helps.
Hi. Thanks for your question. For assistance on any sound issuerelated to gear on Chrysler Town you can visit https://www.reliable-store.com and download the entire workshop manual which includes all the information along with the diagrams for better understanding. Good day!
Buy a cheap code reader ($20) and check your codes or go to your local parts place and some will read your codes for you for free.A blinking "check engine light" is a severe warning and the codes should be checked NOW.
Hi, Seems that the SKIM (Security Key Immobilizer Module). Try locking and unlocking drivers door, sounds like security system was triggered. If unlocking and locking door does nothing locate (ECU) fuse, (Main) fuse, and (IOD) fuse. If so pull fuses turn key to on position do not start, wait 3 to 5 minutes install fuses and try starting. Please also check battery connections for clean and secure.
Do you know about body electronic's ? BCM - body control modules , power lift gate module , serial data communication networks for the modules to talk to each other , send commands , share info, etc.... You should have taken it to a qualified repair shop. Hooking up a factory or professional type scanner to check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes an view rear hatch sensor data parameters should have been done before replacing any parts that your not totally sure will fix the problem . Testing an not guessing .
Most likely the motor is going bad, but it could be the switch. If fiddling with the switch will make it work sometimes, replace the control panel. Otherwise, replace the motor.
