Trouble codes chevy p1518

The first check should be done to the TAC module to make sure that none of the wiring near the Control Module is damaged due to chaffing. If the wiring and module appear to be in tact, the procedure below is recommended to correct the P1518Condition/Concern:Customers may have a concern of lack of power and engine light on. DTCs set will almost always contain a P1518 and may contain any of the following (P1516, P2108, P0220, P0120, U0107). An improperly torqued TAC module ground may be at fault. The Ground is listed as G104 on TAC module schematic which is incorrectly labeled on SI document ID 855376. The correct ground is G103. The locator for SI states that G103 is located on the left hand side which is incorrect. However, there have been field reports stating that G104 has also corrected this condition. G104 is a horizontal bolt in the rear of the left head and extremely difficult to reach. G104 should also be tightened at the same time. There have also been field cases where ground G110 on the outer drivers side frame rail caused a P1518 code and an intermittent connection at splice 102 on the intake. All published SI diagnostics should be followed in addition to following the recommendation listed. Recommendation/Instructions:Tighten ground G103 located behind the right cylinder head (passenger side) just below the head and mounted into the block. The ground uses a 13 mm bolt head mounted vertically to the engine block just above the bell housing.

If no air is blowing. The resistor is blown. If that is the case check your cabin air filters. When they are clogged or dirty that’s when the resistor blows. There are two cabin air filters in the same compartment change both.

The interior rear view mirror has temperature and

Temperature Display The inside rearview mirror supplies a 5 volt signal circuit and low reference circuit to the ambient air temperature sensor. The inside rearview mirror monitors and records the voltage on the signal circuit of the ambient air temperature sensor. The inside rearview mirror uses this recorded voltage to display the temperature on the temperature display portion of the compass/temperature display. The temperature display will show "ICE" when the ignition is first turned on and the current temperature is 3°C (37°F) or below. The display will toggle between "ICE" and the actual outside temperature for approximately 4 minutes. The mirror will display "OC" if the mirror senses a temperature of less than -40°C (-40°F). the mirror will display a "SC" if the mirror senses a temperature of greater than 112°C (143°F). Replace the inside rearview mirror with compass. Refer to Inside Rearview Mirror Replacement .

There is no power to the diagnostic port. What can I look for as a possible solution?

When Car sold to you, if by a dealer they should have not sold it with the fault. If sold Private then not much you can do at moment. The Garage/Workshop who did your oil change should have told you that problem can be fixed. Might be a simple problem as a blown fuse. Hope this helps

Driving down the road the engine will suddenly shut off.

Check the fuel pump and fuel filter.if the fuel is getting blocked due to dirt in fuel or clogged filter then the car will stop in between while driving because the flow of fuel will stop due to this dirt in the fuel. This has to be checked. There are many other possibilities that has to be checked in this case. 1)Sometimes the car will just plain stop running if there is a faulty/weak coil wire. 2)If your car has safety alarm system in it then this can be the other reason .in this case either the alarm needs to be disabled or the alarm needs to be replaced. 3)In some cases its the problem of ECU .it gets short or faulty due to electrical short circuit in the car. Also other common possibilities that has to be checked are. 1)The voltage of the battery .It should be exact 12 volt. 2)The condition on the alternator .if the alternator is weak or faulty it will not let the battery charged.when the car is running at that time the alternator keeps on charging the battery.if the alternator is faulty it will not charge the battery.so this has to be checked. 3) The other thing to be checked is the spark plug. and the coil pack.if the coil pack is weak or faulty it will not let the spark to come when you start the car. Also the other best option is to get the car scanned at car diagnosis center.at diagnosis center you will receive the error codes of which part is faulty or weak in car , due to which the problem is occurring. At www.autozone.com its free to get car scanned.they also deals in selling parts .so you can get the faulty parts replaced by their technicians. Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
