You've already eliminated the spark plug & wireset, distributor cap & rotor. Sounds like your car needs a tune-up, specifically, the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve, and/of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve.
Components checked/replaced during a tune-up are: air filter motor oil motor oil filter breather filter fuel filter(s) fuel strainer PCV valve EGR valve spark plugs spark plug wires ECM or distributor cap & rotor cabin air filter transmission oil filter transmission oil engine coolant check all vacuum hoses and lines

could be spark plugs and wires or fuel filter clogged. if not any of these fixes.. its possible you have an intake leak... check all those small little vacuum hoses for cracks and security. can you rate my answer..thanks!
Could be fuel filter, best thing to do is chg. fuel filter and do a fuel pressure test, don't think for a moment that it can't be the pump they have been known to go out just that quick.
I'm assuming the engine is cranking over while turning the key and wont start. from this assumsion it possible the cam sensor on the timing chain is broken. or no fuel pressure. to test for fuel pressure, turn the igntion key on, locate the fuel line & port on the fuel line, remove the cap & depress the small screader valve by using a small pocket screwdriver, fuel should shoot out with a lot of pressure. no fuel shooting out most likey the fuel pump is bad. if this has good pressure the cam sensor is most likey the cause. to replace the sensor, you need to replace the timing chain.
could be to many thing to take chances with, but most commonly;fuel filter, gas line antifreeze or a crack in your air intake which would take your vacuum seal away, start with the least expensive and work from their. Worst case scenario pinched fuel line
thanks i will give that a try
