How to remove audi a6 wiper blades

The problem with this wiper blade set up is the slides get jammed up w/ crude.  You should lubricate the slides and they should slide off.  Then carfully lift the arm and remove the blade.  Warning you should never leave the arm in the upright position.  Windshields get cracked this way.  Also note the pivit points the blades attach too.  These will normally sieze up and cause clearing issues even with new blades.  Lubricate these pivit points and use a pair of channel locks to move it back and forth until it will go 360 degrees with your fingers.  Install is in reverse order of removal.

Program a remote key for 03 A6

I have an A4 and did this to re-program my key:

1. used the key to start the car...then turned it off
2. put the key in the driver door (door closed)
3. pressed the lock button on the key fob once
4. turned the key to lock the door.

This is basically the steps in the owners manual, but the car must be started with the key first, and the key must be in the door lock before pressing the lock button.

I have a 03 Audi A6 Quattro with the ESP & ABS light on

It's probably your brake check switch going bad, it's under the driver's side dash above the brake pedal. I had the same problem and eventually my cruise control and brake lights stopped working when it failed completely. This is also a redesigned part that you can get from the dealer for about $8, which to me indicates they new the part caused problems and failed to notify owners. Try that before Audit tries telling you wires are faulty.

Trying to change oil on a A6 Audi

If your looking for the filter and it is not below could be a canister filter on the top of the motor. If the new filter is a paper cartridge it will most likely be on the top. If not visible under the cover.

Hazard Lights working. Indicators will

The Hazard and turn signals share the same relay module located in the dashboard behind the hazard switch. Remove the trim by prying from the sides (Either side of the Cup holder drawer and Card drawer). Pry the hazard switch assembly out from the dashboard. The relay is part of the hazard switch assembly.

Unclip the wiring terminal from the relay. replace with appropriate relay. Part costs under $50.00 delivered from Import Parts Specialists.

Sparkplug

Remove the plastic beauty cover to expose the ignition coil packs, one per cylinder. Remove the wire harnes from the pack and remove the 2 10mm bolts that hold the coil pack in place. Pull out the coil pack to expose the plug. You will need a long extension to reach the plug. You may have to remove the screws holding the coolant tank to get at the back coil on the drivers side and the air filter box for the back coil on the passenger side.

BRAKE LIGHT

This light should turn off if you replace the pads with pads that have the indicator wire on them. The light truns on when you wear the pads down to the wires and the wires break and cause an open circuit that turns on the light. If your new pads have the wires and are installed correctly, the light should turn off by itself.

2003 A6

No, it's either a clogged catalytic converter or, more likely, a bad secondary O2 sensor on the driver's side. The secondary sensor is the one after the catalytic converter, which is used to measure its efficiency. When that sensor fails, the computer can't judge how well the cat is working and often throws a code such as this. However, it should also throw a failed O2 sensor, sensor 2 bank 2, at the same time. You may have a bad cat, but if it comes down to replacing parts, I'd do the sensor first - it's about 15% of the price of a cat.

You could take the two secondary sensors and swap them - move the left side one to the right side and vice versa, clear the code, then scan the car again after running and see if the code comes back the same. If it does, your cat is bad. If it comes back reading a problem on bank 1, it's the sensor.

Rear brake replacement

hi to get the pads in you did screw the calipers pistons all the way back and you should have backed the hand brake cable off as well then adjusted the cable afterwards problem with self adjusting calipers is you can adjust the handbrake cable and the brakes are ok until driven then they can bind so try backing the adjustment off on the handbrake [should really change both calipers as a pair to keep the axles brake balance but this is not anything to do with the brakes binding] best of luck paul

Haha help me again

this part scares me...."it felt like the brakes kicked in on its own and then it turned the abs lights and traction control on ... it felt like it was rubbing or something"........there must be a mechanical problem here..geometry of brake parts /rotor etc...everything you disturbed when changing out the axle needs to be VERy carefully inspected ...we are dealing with safety issues here now not just a light...look at the side that was not done..and move back to see how it looks on the side you did..something is not the same and we must find it before you take this thing out on the road again
