Spa jets won't bubble
some tubs have a powered blower (you can hear it) or some tubs have a venturi suction bubbler system, you will have have to pop open service cover to look to see what kind you have, venturi type most of the time are turned off or down to far and don't produce bubbles (twist knobs) powered blowers sometimes have hoses pop off there fittings
How do you check the capacitor on a two speed
the capacitor is only used on the start phase of any speed so the procedure is the same , attempt to start motor for a second or two, remove all power from motor, wait 1 minute, use old screwdriver short across the capacitors terminals, a healthy spark should result if not cap is bad , or use a professional capacitor tester (it must be removed out of circuit for this )
Liner of bathtub jacuzzi
well fiberglass is a thing that can be repaired , if your looking for a quicky way then a hardware store that sells Boat repair (gel coat) kits is the way to go, if a more perminate repair is needed there are folks in yellow pages that use a heat process that lasts a bit longer , or entire shell can be sourced from jacuzzi as well this would have to be installed by a pro though to get it done right
I have just purchased a Jacuzzi j495 , and i am
if level of water inside goes down then it's a leak or heavy use!!! but if not it's just condesation this is very normal in cold climates (they sweat) thats why cedar and redwood are used most for extetiors
Our Jacuzzi hot tub was just refilled and the
if your tub was not used for a bit of time your gonn have to pop open the sides and have a look around , Hoses that go nowhere or loose looking are what your looking for, plus water leaks , i did have a problem once with squirels getting inside one and eating hoses off ,made nest inside and generally messed things up inside it but any wild animal could do the same thing
Jacuzzi spa quits (---) displayed
if breaker is tripped your gonnahave to look inside the covering to see if you have a water leak, if not it's probally your heater, they do go bad, faster if your not dilagent on your water chemistry to be perfect
Replacing a spa pump
gaining acess is the greatest challenge , apart from that don't use metal wrenches on plastic fiittings ,(you;ll find metal is stronger) and ck all your o-rings, MAke sure power is off to entire tub Not just pump ckt, ck voltage settings on new motor to be sure they match old one , mark wires with tape to where they came off
Jacuzzi pool pump delivers no water
wow if it got that cold there id be winterizing with food grade antifreeze not just drainig it down, you could miss pockets of water here and there and produce a crack in housing someplace , as for trouble shooting a no flow situation try the ole standby method of methodical subsitution it's worked for 100 years , keep removing parts (start at suction line in pool) temporray out of system till flow starts then you know last part sub'd out was it!!!
My pump is not primeing
most pumps that won't prime are not recieving a good seal on suction line (inlet) ck alll the fittings for good o-rings and ck filter lid as well , hairline cracks too can develop in hard plastic over time and rough treatment this can lead to loss of prime , one other reason and it's the most expensive reason is pump seal at drive end has went bad and sucking air if your handy with a wrench then you can source a new seal from jacuzzi if not replace entire pump (thats the expensive way)
Jacuzzi hot tub replacement jets
your local jacuzzi dealer should be able to source you some parts , but i can tell you if it's only a o-ring failure these are avail from your local hardware store , as most jets are rebuildable , some are not look at back for screws to see if they are or not
Pump stopped working extremely hot
the pump or the motor is hot? if it's the motor then your problem is excessive load (ie. pumpshaft tight, too high a flow, forign object in pump head) if it's the pump head then your heater is set too high or failed on constant or pump impeller is rubbing housing
