Bad battery

I don't understand. Did you buy several new batteries, and they are all bad? Or did you use the same battery, after you charged it? I fyou have a mulit meter and know how to use it, you could easy measure if the battery is still good. Try to connect with the small contacts on the battery, and measure the voltage of the battery. It should be a little over 3,7 volt, That is the voltage needed in the camera. But without any load the voltage is a bit (few tenths of a volt) above the voltage printed on the battery. If it is ono a few tenths lower, the battery is defect. Buying batteries for elder camera's can be risky, because you never know how long they were in stock. You are only lucky, when a manufacture uses the same battery in newer models again. so buying a lot of old batteries brings you no where.

Button battery ex-fh20

I don't believe there is one. I think that like many other cameras, the EX-FH20 has a small built-in rechargeable battery which is charged from the main batteries (the four AAs). If this is the case, that battery is not user-replaceable.If your camera is losing the date and other settings when the main batteries are removed, try leaving the main batteries in overnight first.

Deleted Pics

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.Download this photo recovery softwarehttp://www.asoftech.com/apr/Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

Lens blurred

To come closer to the colprit, if you shoot a picture and you put it on a PC (tablet) does the picture still look blurred? If it does, the most likely is the image sensor or the lens are broke. If the picture is ok on the PC, only the display is bad.Are you sure you don't see anything on the lens? Is perhaps a little dent on the outside visable? That could be caused by a fall with the lens outside the body.

Unfortunately, when the card is formatted, all data is erased. There is no way to get back the pics you had on it earlier. Sorry..

Can't find night mode

You can't find a night mode on the EX-Z40, because it is not there. This nice point and shoot camera does most of the things automatic and has little extra menu's like sport or night shots. And with a max of 400 iso, it will be difficult to shoot without flash in the dark. Although you can switch of the flash. On the bottom site of the rail with the set knob in the centre you can chose the flash mode when in the rec mode. Then you can cycle trough the flash menu. Giving you automatic, off, always on or red eye reduction. Look on the top of the screen to see what you have chosen.
