hi, this is a drain pump motor issue. i would check the wires leading to the drain pump and the control board. make sure the pump wires are connected and the control board wires as well. if the wires are connected, this will rule out a communication problem and confirm pump failure.

You can also do a break point test with a multimeter on the control board to make sure the control board is working correctly.

Concerning the locked door(washer locked)**. if the door is locked, this may be a control fault. test the door lock mech for its operational value to confirm this as well.

SOURCE: Cant remove drain pump cap of bosch washing macine

I just replaced my drain pump on my BOSCH washing machine WFL2060-so almost identical to yours. When I posted my question, I was told that it was a pain to do, that many repairmen refuse to do it etc.... even that the front panel does not come off. Well, I am a fairly petite (by athletic) woman, and very far from being an expert at repairing anything....
I just did it in less than 45 minutes with a screw driver and a pair of pliers (and a bit of common sense). Here is the protocol:
1- UNPLUG your machine
2- drain any water that could be left inside (at the bottom front right, you will find a small door: open it, the filter and the small black hose are there)
3- . put an old blanket on the floor behind your machine and a piece of wood long enough to go across the width of your machine- place it half way to what will be the height of your machine once it lies down on the floor- this will save your fingers in case you loose grip of the machine while tilting it down on its back...
4- tilt your machine back and down on its back: use your thigh muscles as the machine si a bit heavy (if you have a friend help you that will be easier-but I did it alone...
5- remove the bottom front panel (2 screws)
6- above the filter access you will see 1 to 3 screws: take them off
7- from the bottom of your machine, take out the electric plug at the back of the pump's motor
8- using your pliers (and a good grip) loosen the metallic braces that hold the 2 hoses and slide them down along each of the hoses
9- the unit will come off into your hand.
10- replace the unit with the new one
11- screw the unit back
12 plug the wires back
13 reposition the hoses (you cannot go wrong, they are on wither side of the pump)
14- slide the braces back onto the hose+pump outlet
15- tilt your machine back
16- plug your machine
17- you are ready for your load!
AND... you have saved about $200 without the part (I ordered it, paid $49 and was delivered to me within 2 business days!)

SOURCE: Bosch WFK2401 won't start error code 6

Open the panel at the bottom using a 2p coin by turning clockwise
Pull the rubber hose out of the holder and drain water into a container until stops
turn large plastic screw to the left for access to the pump
Clear away and debris bits of metal, plastic, etc that has stopped the pump.
Opposite of above to reassemble
Switch on and test... good luck!

SOURCE: Bosch WFF 2001 has finished a wash cycle but the

Do the following.

  1. Switch off the machine, unplug or disconnect the mains power to the machine and turn off the water supply to the machine.
  2. Remove the access panel on the lower right front of the machine.
3. Remove the filter and make sure that the filter is not blocked and is clean and clear of all debris. Clean as required. Note that depending on the machine type you may get a lot of water coming out of the filter when you remove it if the machine has not drained successfully. Note that if the machine has stopped and not fully drained then you may be able to drain out the excess water by removing or disconnecting the waste hose and laying it on the ground in a tray. It may take a few minutes to empty but it will save a small flood.
4. Proceed by checking the drain hose for proper connection and kinks and make sure that it is not blocked.
5. Also check that the main waste drain pipe, if you use one, is not blocked and clean if required.
6. Reconnect the power and switch the machine on.
If the problem persists then do the following.
7. Switch off the machine and disconnect the mains power.
8. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure it is operational.
9. Remove the connecting hoses, and expect water to drain out and make sure the pipes are not blocked with debris or any object blockage.
10. Makes sure the pump appears clear and that the impeller looks in good condition.
11. Reconnect the hoses and then reconnect power and switch the machine on.
12. If problem has not been corrected, then remove the pump and check that the drive coupling to the motor is OK and that the motor turns OK. If all is well then replace the pump.

Sometimes when the load is unbalanced & the machine cannot adjust the load it stops. To avoid this make sure your wash is mixed with big and small clothes.
If this does not work remove the rear panel & check belt, should have half inch ‘give’. Still not good, remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver. Check the motor brushes (at terminal end of motor), if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.

Washing but not spining out clothes

Take the power plug off the wall. Be prepared for a lot of water before attempting the following. It doesn't spin because the unit is not draining water. It will not spin with water in it - must drain first. Check drain hose for kink, check exit pipe for blockage, then check pump. Could be your "coin trap assembly" is blocked, therefore not allowing all the water to pump out. Remove the front access panel, and remove the clamp that connects this trap assembly to the pump and clean it out.
If helped pl say so, thanks.

My frigidaire affinity will spin when washing but only spin the closes dry when on delegate cycle what could the problem be?

Hello Tony - Often when a unit does not spin it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, there may be a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Otherwise since it is such a complex unit I would recommend contacting a professional to have either the pump or timer diagnose. Also you might want to clean out the coin trap, filter trap, of the unit for extra security. This needs to be completed about every 6 months to prevent any issues.

1. Unplug the unit.

2. Tilt the unit up to where the front feet are in the air and the back feet are still on the ground. Please make sure the unit is propped up safely.

3. Now that the unit is propped up look inside on the bottom right hand side there is a black looking accordion thing. This is the coin trap.

4. Clean the drum out with as much water as possible and have towels ready. The next step you will have the remaining water come out.

5. At the top of the coin trap where it is attached to the drum is a silver spring with a silver screw. Loosen the screw and wiggle the coin trap down from the drum.

6
. Reach inside the coin trap and clean what is inside of it out.

7. Put the unit back together following the same steps backwards

this is because the water can't evacuate . check the pump trap filter and make sure there are no blockages. you will probably find water still i the machine when this happens. There might be a blockage up in the hose pipe before the pump. Good luck

Hello my name is Kevin Singh and i had purchased one of your Bosch Front loading washing machines (model number: wfk2401) probably about 10 years ago i used it last on this last Sunday and it seems to not...

Have you checked the pump and filter are clear? Remove kickplate plinth panel to expose pump. Drain off excess water via small black hose. Check the hoses are clear, particularly if it is connected under the sink, via a spigot connection. If the machine has good motor action, but not spinning effectively, it will more than likely be a drainage problem.

All of a sudden my machine will not spin or drain

Hi, welcome to fixya.

If your washer is indeed a WFL2066, than the not spinning is directly related to the unit not draining.

These machines by design cannot spin if the drain is inadequate.

Here is the first step in resolving the problem, you need to access the drain pump/filter to clean it.

To reach the filter and clean it...

**Unplug the washer from the dryer or wall, or turn off the 30amp breaker at the home service panel...safety first**

1) Open the small square plastic door at the right bottom of the washer.

2) Via the small hose drain any access water from the pump...this is where a wet/dry shop-vac comes in handy, or a shallow pan with a few towels works as well.

3) Then turn the pump insert/button trap counter clock-wise and pull out. Clean the trap out thoroughly running it under hot water and mild soap or your washer detergent and inspect inside the pump for any other foreign objects/obstructions.

4) Re-install the lint trap insuring it is good and snug/tight. Before closing up the small access door, run a short rinse spin cycle to check for leaks.

Let me know how you make out, or if you require further assistance.

Does not drain the clothes completely

Hello, welcome to fixya.

I would start by checking a couple of crucial factors.

Confirm your washer is indeed a Bosch WFL2060 before going forward.

1) Are you using "HE" detergent ? If yes, good, move to next question. If not, you must. The Bosch front load washer's will not function as was intended unless hi-efficiency (HE) detergent is used.

2) Have you checked your drain pump for obstruction or debris ? No, look below to see how.
If yes, will the unit drain and spin if empty of clothing ? If it drains but won't spin, ( or if it rotates in only one direction ) you likely have worn motor brushes.

To check the drain pump...

Clean the trap out thoroughly, and inspect inside the pump for any other foreign objects/obstructions.

Let me know how you make out, or if you require further assistance.

If this indeed solved your problem, whether it be the detergent ( have to use "HE" no exceptions ) or pump blockage, please take a moment to rate my solution.

If it is the other possible issue for not spinning, "motor brushes" check out my tip...

My bosch wfk2401 front loader is stuck on spin

Hi
There is a door bottom right of the system which has a screw out (by hand) plug.
Remove this and ensure there are no foreign objects such as coins, bobby pins etc stuck.

I have found this to be a problem with the Bosch systems and cost me $150 the first time.

Ensure you have some towels as when you open the plug, water will escape

Bosch WFMC 3200 Front Load will not pump water out

the pump gears could be stripped or clogged with soap residue including the line from the pump to include the drain hose itself. I took the back of my machine off after cleaning the pump twice to find the reservoir full of a brown soap gunk/sludge. there is also a small rubber tube that runs from this reservoir back into the drum which was plugged shut with the same gunk. this thick soap residue can damage the pump motor or slow the drainage system to get the E 04 warning. I cleaned the gray drain hose out with the garden hose and was amazed at the sludge that game out. When the machine would run on the drain cycle we would also get a sewage smell that I thought was coming form the drain trap but turned out to be caused by the sludge in the pump. After cleaning the system and now using no more that a tablespoon of soap it works great & the cloths are clean.
