Not sure if this went thru. everything in fridge side is freezing even the water for in door ice and water is there a replacable temp gage that must be malfunctioning temp setting as on factoert setting since 2003.turned them down but no change fridgidaire frs23e6081 2003

the temp is set at 45 but the fridge is at 30 or lower. from time to time the fridge temp will come up to 33 and stay for a day or so then will go back down past freezing. I replaced the damper door because it broke part of the guide that the door travails on when opening and closing.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge.The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

those have a high temp warning,, anytime the freezer or fridge goes above a set temp it will beep,,, make sure all or the doors are shutting good and the gasket is sealing,, if they are try to find any cold air coming out,, if all is good,, you need to get a service tech because it could be a bad fan, or a bad sensor

there is a air damper that lets the air in frome the freezer side,, it should be in the back top left corner on the fridge side turn the controls to off and listen you should hear a faint sound like a flap closing,, if not it is either stuck wide open, or the little motor has went out,,,( for a temp fix you can tape some of the opening off until you get the parts replaced

Cud be a couple of different things. Surely it is under warranty.

I have this same refrigerator, also purchased in 2006. Same exact problem. Fridge freezes, starting actually in the water line, you will notice water on door does not work, then top two shelves start to freeze. Lasts for a few days, then prob does not happen again for 6 months almost to the day. I've had this problem for almost 3 years!!! My service tech said to buy another, glitch in this system he can't figure out. Replaced damper x2, control board, and thermostat x2. Not sure what else to do. I hate the thought of more food lost to spoilage!

Unplug and wait 5-10 min this may reset controls

You can use a hairdryer on the frozen parts.

make sure you turned them the right way the dials are very easy to misread if not your thermostat is stuck closed

replace the temp control
