I have Toshiba SATELLITE P105-S6197 Laptop and suddenly a horizontal while/grey lines appeared as a strip and after windows login it appears as a black strip at right side

Sounds like a bad screen. The easiest way to verify that would be to attach this to an external monitor (at work, a friend's ... if you ain't got one) - if the external monitor apprears good then you've pretty much iso'd the problem to your laptop's screen. This model uses a 17" widescreen. Best place to buy 'em would be on eBay, and they'll usually run around $90 to $100 if you need one right away - half that amount if you've got time and patience :-)

The 17.1' display of my toshiba satellite P105 its broken, two white lines blocked de screen, and 1 half of de screen its blocked by blacki need the part number or de model of de display for replace my...

Just a quick note, before you go replace the entire screen, make sure it's not just a wiring problem. If so, it doesn't cost as much to replace the wires connecting the screen to the laptop. LCD's are much more expensive!
As for replacing the display, this website has information on the display, along with the ability to purchase it from their site. http://www.pelltechnology.com/Toshiba/Laptop/Toshiba-Portables-Satellite-P105-Series-S6024/Toshiba-Satellite-P105-S6024-LCD-Screen-Replacement-P350475.asp

Where can I find a schematic or instructions to open my toshiba satellite u205-s5067 laptop. I want to clean/replace my fan.

Taking apart a laptop to change the fan is a relatively simple task. Just keep track of where all the screws go and follow these steps:

1. Shutdown the laptop and remove the AC adapter. Disconnect any devices, such as a printer or external DVD-ROM or drive, that are attached to the laptop

2. Remove the laptop battery. Turn the laptop upside down, slide the battery release latch and then pull the battery out of the bay.

3. Unscrew the hard drive cover. Grab the hard drive tab and shift the hard drive to the left to unplug it. Lift the hard drive out of the bay.

4. Unscrew and remove the PCI memory cover, the optical drive cover, and switch cover.

5. Unscrew the two screws that hold the keyboard to the base, these are located in the middle of the rear panel. Flip the laptop over so it is right side up, open and remove the keyboard by using the keyboard release switches located above the keyboard. Next, unplug the Toshiba Satellite U205-S5067 Fan cable.

6. Close the laptop and turn it over so it is bottom up. Unscrew the display assembly screws located under the laptop screen hinges. Turn the laptop over so it is right side up. Open the laptop and unplug the display assembly cable and disconnect the wireless antenna from the display assembly. Unscrew the display assembly from the laptop base and remove.

7. Unplug the mouse pad cable. Turn the laptop over so the bottom side is up and unscrew the base screws which are located along all four sides of the laptop base. Gently remove the base of the laptop.

8. Turn the laptop over so it is right side up. Unplug the fan cable from the circuit board. Unscrew the screws holding the Toshiba Satellite U205-S5067 CPU fan assembly to the laptop. Lift the fan assembly out of the laptop.

9. Insert the new Toshiba Satellite U205-S5067 CPU fan assembly into the lap top. Screw the assembly unit to the lap top and plug the Toshiba Satellite U205-S5067 CPU cooling fan cable into the circuit board.

10. Reassemble the laptop by repeating the previous steps in reverse order.

Hope this helps.

My monitor started showing vertical lines, first a few then half the screen. Now, half the screen is black.

Your Laptop screen has either too much of Moisture in it or the display circuit at the laptop folding place is creating issue. Please take the machine to Toshiba Service Centre and they will do the needful. Any attempts to fix the problem by yourself will worsen the problem and respond quick.

Toshiba A105 S2719 screen problem

Is this behavior irrespective of power condition of the laptop, ie both ac and battery?
Please see bios bulletins for your system here. Sometimes a bios update can correct this kind of problem...
However, also note this article.
In the probable event that none of that works, it's probably your inverter or backlight (EL) panel, both of which can be replaced. The white lines are not a good sign. See other thread discussions of same here and here.
Google "diagnose laptop monitor failure" for more, or see this repair guide.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Vertical lines are appearing on my toshiba laptop

first try to hook it into an external monitor if it looks good,I would have to say you have a damaged cable on your monitor.if you are comfortable taking it apart you can try to reseat the ribbon cable on the mobo.you can usually find an online manual for disassembly.

A line across the screen, either side to side or up and down, is a dead pixel sensor. The only way to fix this is to replace the screen.
