I Have a Toshiba , that the BOOTMGR is missing,...
This could be a very complicated repair. You should try some easy solutions first. A missing bootmgr means your computer cannot find the start up files on the hard drive. So maybe the hard drive is loose. Open up the computer and check the hard drive cables. Also check the Bio start up to be sure it is booting to the hard drive.
You can also try connection your hard drive to another computer and running disk repair from Windows or other hard drive repair programs.
Do you have any recovery or restore disks? try those.
You can try to install the trial version of
http://www.acronis.com/en-us/personal/disk-manager/#additional-features
On a computer and add your problem hard drive to it and try to fix.
Acronis support is great. You can ask them if any of their programs will rebuild your bootmgr file.
Else you need Windows disks. You don't need yours, just any that are the same version as what is on your computer. It is safe to borrow from a friend.
Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation CD/DVD
Boot from Windows Vista installation disc, select language and keyboard or input method, click
Next and choose to
Repair your computer. Then you will need to select the operating system that you want to repair. In the
System Recovery Options dialog box click
Command Prompt and type the following:
Bootrec.exe /FixMbr
Bootrec.exe /FixBoot

My satellite lap top has 3 vertical lines on the
there is already a problem with the video card.. for most laptop, they have built in video cards.. so you need to have your laptop checked by a computer technician.. or it would be best to bring it to the manufacturer, so they can install the right drivers for the video card after being fixed..

Turn safety mode
Try to restart the system and then keep tapping F8 key before windows logo appears. You will see a list of boot option, in that highlight the "start windows normally or normal mode" and press ENTER. Your system will boot in the normal mode.

Toshiba Satelitte A500-17X Bios Update Fail
The bios is corrupted because it was not able to complete the download, or there was a power interuption corrupting the data, and finally the wrong file was downloaded. The only thing you can try is remove the main battery and disconnect the power supply from the laptop and press and hold power fot 60 seconds, then plug everything back in and try to restart the laptop, probably won't work.
