This indicates that the lamp cover is not properly closed. Disconnect the mains power and carefully open the lamp cover, reseat the lamp and close the lamp cover taking care not to force it.
A fault of this type would be common after a lamp has been replaced, or at least removed for inspection.

Hi, Symptom shows Lamp is weak in result and causing restart of TV again and again. Your TV requires new lamp as per following part number... A1085447A* LAMP BLOCK ASSY XL-2200U It is available in Sony Accessories Store for $200 and replacement procedure is written in instruction manual of TV.
Always buy Sony original lamp for TV and avoid aftermarket / cheap lamp for TV safety.
While holding down the reset button on the remote Press the power button on the tv (The tv will turn itself off the back on) Now release the reset button
Having similar issue with my PT-44LCX65. Lamp blew and replaced it (last month), never figured out how to reset timer. Now red indicator light blinks once every 5 seconds and after about 4 minutes TV goes black.... Any ideas?
Refer to owners manual ! Blinking indicates the type of fault that is occuring on all your tv sets. example : power light on red - indicator light beside it green but blinks rapidly for half a second rapidly then shuts off. This refers to a faulty lamp or a lamp that is near its expiration. Read your manuals if indicators refer to easy repair sweet, but if it says call tech then bummer...
