it's posible to have a disconected wire or a heating element burned. also is posible to have a problem whit saftey thermostat. good luck!

chances are your pot is a bit clogged with coffee oils. I would run a couple of cups of vinegar through it followed by three pots of water to attempt to remove those oils.

The engine will self destruct if you continue to run it without the proper oil mixture. Some oil systems have to purged of air if ran dry. Seek professional assisstance.
