You have to split the case and remove the entire switch/brush holder from the tool. You can use anything from picks to files to drill bits to get all of the stuck brush material out of the switch. Small files help clean up the holder area. Just be very careful not to damage or break the switch, they have been discontinued and are getting exceedingly hard to find on after-market parts sites. Depending on which version 395 you have, switches are available for a couple of them at www.ereplacementparts.com. The different versions have a number like F0130395XX, where the XX is different for each model variation.

I have a 1960 Duracrest waffle iron with removable plates. will heating the plates upside down in the oven on low heat or placing them back onto the unit on high to melt the oil build up?

Yes, you can heat the plates in the oven to melt any buildup. Make sure that the temperature remains low throughout the process, and that you keep an eye on the plates in case they become too hot. I suggest setting your oven temperature to around 300°F and leaving them for no more than 10 minutes at a time. In addition, you can brush a thin layer of oil onto the plates every one or two uses.

My shark rotator professional lift away brush will not spin brush button is on cleaned everything hot air is blowing out the hepa filter hose works fine just the brush wont spin n the belt is not broke...

Check that the drive shafts and bearings aren't rusted or frozen with junk. Try spraying them with WD40 and gently manipulating them in an attempt to free them up. It may require you manually disassembling some of the casing to get to the drive motor...

Kitchenaid frozen bearing

Hi Thaddeus, What model is it? If you have taken it apart and checked the worm gear surely you would have stumbled on the frozen bearing if one exists. When you split the gear cases you are in a position to turn everything by hand so any frozen part is going to be pretty obvious.

Ge side by side refrigerator

I oftenlly have to clear drains so it depends on the circumstances. If the hoemowner has laminate tiles or nice hardwood floors i try to advoid hot water. It will make the floor come up. Hot water into a frozen drain does the trick nicely though. That side by side you have should be easy to get to after you remove all the bottom foods. You probably dont even have to take out the back panel to get to the drain. With less mess use a hair dryer. If it is not frozen but has foods debris try top blow the drain with compressed air. if you dont have that use a 3/16 clear hose and stick it in the drain and blow. when the water goes down (pour a cup) then it is clear. get a mop and rags ready for overspill. hope this is helpful

Temperatue gauge reading hot and car is cold

May be the thermastat. Some of them stick open, and some stick shut when they malfunction. Most stick open and don't allow the car to heat up to operating temp, because the coolant is running through unchecked. If it sticks shut, you cannot get coolant to circulate the engine and cool it down.
If it reads hot when first starting it, and it is obviosly cold as ice cubes, then the enigine temp sensor is busted. These can get too hot, usually from improper installation of leaving off the heat shield, and break. If you can find it(use a repair manual), it should be an easy fix.
