my hp printer - s.gif s.gif

Introduction There are times when a partial reset may be required to restore the HP All-in-One to proper operation. A partial reset does the following:

  • Reset the user settings to the factory defaults.
  • Reset the language and country/region settings on some models.
Performing a partial reset
  1. Unplug the power cord from the HP All-in-One.
  2. Wait for 20 seconds.
  3. Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord to the HP All-in-One.
  4. Release the buttons after the HP All-in-One starts up.
  5. The HP All-in-One will now be reset to factory defaults.

Thank you so much.

Hp officejet 9120 won't power down but won't print either, it seems to be locked up, display just shows dots scrolling right to left

Unplug your printer from the outlet for several minutes and repower it back up. I have had this with my printer and usually solves the problem.

I can't get my HP officejet 6310 All-in-One to turn off

This model takes an extremely long time to shut down.
I have had mine on for 2 years. because it takes way too long to start up and shut down. Still works fine.

If you really really want to power this unit down.
Purchase a strip plug with power buttons for Monitor, CPU, Printer and Device 1 and 2. Shut down the PC normally then hit the Printer button on the strip plug. Viola printer off no worries.

Good luck!

Cleared paper jam &printer will not reset

I had to turn off the printer & disconnect the power cord. I also had some material that was backed up on hold from the night before that was preventing the current material from being printed & I had to go in & cancel the documents to be printed before the printer would function.

Vista Shuts down with hp officejet j4580

Disable all the startup items and your security software and firewall. Then try installing the printer. If you still have the same problem try installing the printer by connecting to a different USB port. You can also uninstall all the USB port from device manager. restart the computer and then install the printer.

Thanks
