It is unusually to see BOTH of these flash codes together. I have never seen them at the same time. A 5 flash is a lamp driver error, which is possibly related to your lamp failure. You may have to replace the lamp driver or "ballast" to correct this problem. The 6 flash is a power supply problem and more serious, as it will likely take a technician to narrow down exactly where the fault lies. It may be a thermal fuse open OR a failure in the power supply itself. What was the original symptom that caused you to replace the lamp? Did you use an original Sony lamp as a replacement?

It's in standby mode.
Do a reset and see what happens
While holding down the reset button on the remote
Press the power button on the tv
(The tv will turn itself off the back on)
Now release the reset button
It sounds like the lamp needs replaced.

If you're getting your lamp from a online store, most of those sites give you some kind of ditailed procedure on how to replace the lamp when you buy it from them, the price varies according to the what ever you are going to replace, either just the lamp or the complete lamp cage.thanks!

need to know how many time the red light is blinking there should be a pause. 4 blinks is a fan, 3 blinks is the lamp door is not closed 6 blinks is thermal sensor.
