Imagerunner 5000s scanning problem

We moved from one office to another. We changed the ip address too on both copier and computer. The printer is networked/working fine with the computer but when we do scanning it says "error while interacting with scanner, the selected scanner was not found.
Network processing is timed out. Check the scanner and network status. The scanner driver will be closed."

Network IP range changed so had to update the IP address.

You can do this by pressing the "Additional Functions" button
(the button with a * in a head/circle)

I HAVE ONE IRC 3200 AND I DONT KNOW WHAT DRIVER INSTALL FOR SCAN AND PRINT, I HAVE WIN XP

Go to http://www.usa.canon.com
Select Downloads
Select Office/Production
On next page from the dropdown select Office/Production products again
Next page Select Networked Office Systems/Copiers
Next Page select Color ImageRunner Series
Next Page Select Color ImageRunner Series
From List select Color Image Runner Irc-3200

From the choices select the driver needed. PCL or PS (postscript)
Select either Setup or INF.
If Setup or INF file. Download the zipped file. Create a folder on desktop or downloads. Call it Canon Copier or whatever. Download the zipped file to this folder. Go to the folder you downloaded the zipped file to and double click on the file. When Win-Zip started and asks where you want the file un-zipped to enter a period (.) this will unzip the file to the folder you created.

Once the file is un-zipped if you downloaded the setup file run setup exe.
At somepoint in the setup process you will be asked which port you want to use. You will need the IP Address of the copier ( which can be obtained by pressing the additional Functions key on the copier, selecting report settings, selecting Network and print report. If the IP address needs to changed select additional functions again, Select System settings Key, Network settings key, TCP/IP settings, Check or Set IP Address here or select DHCP to get new address. Repower the copier if any changes are made.

At the which port to use select New Port, select Standard TCP/IP port and create new port. Enter IP address in the new port window.

If using INF file after INF is unzipped. Go to Printers folder and select create New Printer. Follow Printer Wizard. Create New Standard TCP/IP port. When the Wizard Asks for Driver, select have Disk and browse to the folder you created and click the unzipped file and continue clicking until the file installs.

Networked Canon imageRunner 2800 printer stopped printing right

Your modem was almost certainly your router and contained a static IP address for your copier. Check what IP address your copier used to use. In the Printer Properties/Preferences can't remember which there should be a TCP/IP port. What is the IP address for this?
Go into the copier, go to Additional Functions > System Settings > Network Settings > TCP/IP settings > IP address. Turn DHCP off (make sure DHCP box is filled with white). Enter IP address. Press Ok/Enter (if there is a button that says so, can't remember at the moment)
Turn copier off using main power switch on right hand side of copier then back on again.
Does it work? If yes, good.
No, check the IP address of your new modem/router e.g. 192.168.0.1. Is the IP address of the copier in the same range, that is are the first three out of four numbers the same (last number must be different)? If not, change the copier's IP address so that the first three numbers are the same. Make sure the copier uses the same Subnet Mask as the router/modem e.g. 255.255.255.0. For the subnet mask all four numbers must be the same.

Read the Manual (comes with Tool). If you don't have the Tool download it from the Canon site. Go to the copier and press the System/Options button next to Copy/Mailbox/Fax. Press Online. Then try scanning. Go back to copier and press Offline so can photocopy again.

Change your machines network settings to DHCP and restart it from cold (ie turn off at wall for 60 seconds). If the machine doesn't show up on your network, you may need to allocate it a specific IP address and then set that address in the printers folder of each Computer that accesses the machine

To set scan

On most printer/scanner equipment there is an user tools or options icon or button. Look in there for system settings,sub-section interface settings. That is where you will find your devices IP address. Be very careful not to change these settings, just look don't touch.

Won't PDF to email

I had the same issue when migrating between exchange servers. basically the scanner settings were pointing to the old exchange servers IP. I set that to the new IP and it resolved the issue.
