I went to my friends house and brought madden 11 I BROUGHT 2 CONTROLLERS to play 4 player he hooked my controlers to his console i have no clue how 2 hook it back 2 mine

Did you sync it? here's how to sync it:

Step 1: Power on your Xbox 360 console. In this guide I'm assuming everyone already has their console hooked up, if not, contact me.

Step 2: Power on Xbox 360 Controller. Make sure it has a battery pack that has correctly place and working batteries or charged re-chargeable battery pack.

Step 3: Locate the small circular sync button on your controller. It is near where your controller can be plugged in (between the LB and RB).

Step 4: Locate the small circular sync button on your Xbox 360 console. It is next to Memory Unit slot 2.

Step 5: Press and hold the controller sync button until the green power lights start spinning.

Step 6: While your controller lights are still spinning press and hold the console sync button. The console's lights should spin also, then flash, and finally show the player slot light on both the console and the controller.

Viola! You've synced your wireless controller! You can sync up to four controllers.
Also, you can use this guide to sync to different Xbox 360 consoles. So you can bring only your controller to your friend's house.

Note: If you sync your controller to another console, you will have to re-sync it to your own afterwords.

Maby replace the batteries.

i had the same problem, and is a easy fix, turn on your console, dont need the controller on, and hold the sync button for approx 30 seconds, then turn the console off, take out the power lead from the console and then remove it from your mains, wait about 1-2 minuts then plug it up and switch on the console, first sync the xbox then the controller, and this should work, if it dosent try xbox support their number is on xbox.com

walk up to the xbox and press the big button it will fix it self once it turns off.

when u connect ps3 to your tv turn on main switch now red led will come on press and hold touch button ps3 will come on keep your finger on the button and ps3 will turn off again factory settings are now reloaded this will work because i often change from standard v to hd tv

do u have hd?
if not u need to change ur settings to video instead of hd! but when i had to i needed it hooked up to hd first then went through settings to change it or it will be blank screen!

no big deal u have to snc the controller with 360 there will be a white button on the back of the controller click it and on the front of the 360 the same btton will be there and there u go it might not work the 1st time but it will work

have you tried reconnecting from the console cause i had that pressed the little button and it reconected instanly

Well the console might be messed up the the mother board inside of the machine is having problems then and it needs to be fixed or its getting old then.
