Whrilpool gas dryer

My whirlpool gas dryer will cont condinually stay hot. I have checked the vents. I have completely disconnected the dryer vent. The gas will turn on and fire will ignite and stay lit for about 1 minute and then turn off for 5-10 minutes and then fire up again for another minute. It is taking 2 hours to dry a load of laundry. Any suggestions?

DISCONNECT THE EXHAUST FROM THE BACK OF THE DRYER AND TRY DRYING ONE LOAD OF LAUNDRY. IF THE DRYER WORKS O.K. WITH THE EXHAUST DISCONNECTED, YOU HAVE A RESTRICTION IN THE EXHAUST DUCT SOMEWHERE.

Dryer does not dry clothes completely

If your machine is taking that long to dry. You either have a clogged vent to the outside or your gas valve coils are bad. You can check to see if it is your vent by disconnecting it for one cycle. If the unit drys in time then clean your vent. Click Here to see what a clogged vent can do. Click here to see gas valve coils.

I have a whrilpool water heater model fg1f404053nov replaced the thermocouple, stays lit for a couple of days and goes out....change out the gas vavle ???

Resources for Whirlpool/Craftmaster gas water heater:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-gas-water-heater.html

Problem might be diminished air supply or bad venting. Clean the air intake located on bottom of water heater using compressed air or feather duster. Air intake screen is series of openings as wide as razor blade and can easily clog.
Clean the combustion parts and burner. Bleed air/water out of gas line. Check gas pressure.
Check for pilot and venting issues on link above, including tight house, and other gas appliances and vent fans pulling draft down the water heater vent pipe, etc.
Also see service manuals for each type of gas control valve, and replacement steps for each type.

DRYER VENT PIPE HOT TO TOUCH

there could be a blockage which is preventing the hot air from escaping

Dryer gets hot, but stays damp inside and clothes don't dry. I removed a birds nest from the outer end of the vent, and there is plenty of hot steamy air coming through, but still having this problem....

The vent is probably still stopped up. You are going to have to pull the dryer out and disconnect the 4" vent hose from the back and inspect the vent all the way through.

Whrilpool heavy duty dryer not drying, just replaces the ignitor

Im assuming that you have a gas dryer since you said you replaced the glow plug (igniter). So your problem is most likely with lint in the vent hose. Try taking it off and shaking out all the loose lint. If thats not it you could have a gas flow problem. Check your connections for leaks or crimps in and metal hosing.

I have a Whirlpool gold Ultimate Care II gas dryer and 2/3 times the ignitor glows and lights the gas, 1/3 times it won't. When the gas does light, it doesn't seem like it's getting hot enough to do...

I would suggest the coils on the gas valve . Also check the vent to make sure good air flow is getting out of the dryer . Try disconnecting the vent hose and drying a load to determine if maybe the vent is the problem .

I have a whirlpool gas dryer.  heats up for a minute than get gool. will not stay hot?

check your exhaust vent to make sure that it is not blocked up with lint. If not then check to see if the flame comes on after the igniter check the peep hole in the front of the dryer.

Propane Gas Dryer (Whirlpool DUET Front Loader) not drying

huuum At your service!

Did this tech do some wash to the dryer and feel that there was no heat?
He was not a good tech

Sometimes this can happen when the vent line is clogged.

1. Check if the lint filter is full and needs to be cleaned.
Try this first.
2. Then check if the outside screen covering the exhaust vent if this is even half blocked
with lint there will be no heat! This screen is to keep small animals out!
Try checking this and if it is clogged or the spring loaded door is stuck closed.
Try to clean the lint out of the corners of the flap door,
and or remove the screen permanently!
NO ANIMALS LIKE TO GET BURNT,IT'S HOT IN THAT TUBE! They sense this and stay clear.
It is 2 years that mine is off and all is fine.

You will be fine
Bless You huuum

It might have more than 1 thermal sensor, if you can find a manuel and check. Also if you have a leak on your gas connection(flex hose, ect.)
