I have a Pearl whirlpool tub that comes on briefly when sensor button is touched and shuts off after a second or two. The water level is above the water sensor level. Please help

Simply reset by pressing the big red button on your spa pack. The high limit switch may be housed in a thermowell. If the water temperature in the thermowell is the same as the water temperature in the rest of the spa, the switch is damaged and needs to be replaced.

What's youI just wired in my J-300 Jacuzzi hot tub. The GFI trips every time I reset it. I took the GFI out of the equation and the tub runs fine, does not trip the breaker at the main breaker box

#1. DO NOT GET INTO TUB FULL OF WATER WITH A GROUND FAULT.
2. There is a short. You need to get multimeter and start checking each part for current running to ground wire.
3) Power is ON. Connect power without GFCI.
4) Tape tester leads to wood sticks to keep hands away from power.
5) Do not touch anything directly or you will become the ground rod.
6) Ground wire must be present, and bonded back to main panel box.
7) Do not sit or touch directly on cement or bare ground. Do not touch or lean into anything made of metal.
8) Body and parts must be on sheet of plywood, or similar non-conductive dry surface.
9) Test each part with spa, but also test electric line coming from main box.
10) GFCI will also trip with any fault detected on line. So the wire coming to spa may have the fault.
11) Add a new dedicated line from main box to spa.

Hot tub blows 50 amp breaker after about two seconds-does move water. about half full of water, bought tub used and sat for a year empty

I think you have a small leak somewhere that is causing the GFI to kick off. ... and it is probably quicker than 2 seconds.

Look carefully inside the control box - that is where I found the leak in mine.

After you get it fixed (and you may have to buy a new control) pat yourself on the back for having saved yourself at least $250.00.

Good luck with your project.

I have a whirlpool custom series frig & the bulb has gone out. After switching it with 2 new bulbs with no results, I wonder if there is an electrical problem? Additionally, what appears to me to be...

Yes KariAnn,
I have replaced 3 of these this week already, its the control box, lower left corner inside white plastic box, when light bulbs blow out it surges& the control board is ruined, its quite common, replace it with a new board no need to replace the cover or box with a new one, go to appliance parts pros or call 1-877-477-7278, the cost will be about $85.00 with shipping included, UNPLUG REFRIGE FIRST, and remove control board(2screws) on back of refrige, take off plastic cover and unplug 3 wire harnesses and install new board put cover back on and its good to go......if you have any other questions I'm at dmftrucker@yahoo or 24/7 Appliance Service (608)214-5632....Regards Daniel

Jacuzzi nova 532 motor run's but won't stay running

If it has the little oval off/on button, it sounds like the control box or off/on button is bad. If you have access to the pump assembly, follow the pump power cord to the little black box (zip tied to a tube up high), this black box has a small cable that goes to the off/on button. unplug the pump from the box and plug the pump into the power outlet. it should run continuously. If it runs, you need a new control box or /offon button. Buy the off/on button first, as this button is prone to water getting into it, and costs less than the control box.

Pump does not start, it does have power

Touch pads usually have three wires connected to a low water sensor (two wires) all running into a control box with a circuit board inside.
If you are in the tub and the tub is full of water and you then touch the 'pad' to turn the pump on and it doesn't turn on then the problem is most likely the box those wires and the pump plug into.
Get us that number off the box and we can solve this for you.
