NEC VL 640 projector not getting on

Hi,

I have NEC projector model:VL 640. The problem is ready indicator is glows orange color it is not change to green. if i press the power button the status indicator blinking in orange color. So projector not getting on.

Kindly give me the solution for this issue.

You can try to call this Projector Service Center : V3 SYSTEMS & SERVICE PTE LTD 64522679 SINGAPORE.

They repair many projector for my school.

HI there

This is a faulty Mainboard you sit with.

The only way to get rid of this problem is to either repair or replace the part.

sounds like the either the bulb or the fan is a goner.
does the fan spin? if yes, then its the bulb.

If the lamp light is solid orange then, the lamp of your projector is faulty. You have to repalce the lamp.

It is the bulb 6 red flashing is a lamp problem. Replace it.

I replaced the projector lamp and still no light what am i missing. all i get is a solid red lamp indicator and a orange power indicator.

hi,
Did you reset the lamp hour after replacing the lamp. If not do the following for the same and try again. Also check is the lamp inserted is correct or not. Also check the lamp cover is properly closed or not.

press the "Help" button on the remote control for a minimum of 10 seconds while in standby mode. When the lamp time clock is reset to zero, the LAMP indicator (red light )goes out.

Nec Lt245 power light yellow - orange status blink red, no image, no light coming out of the projector

- Unplug the projector for a full 4-5 minutes.
- Plug it back in and wait for the ready light and try it again.

If the above fails, replace the lamp.
If that also fails, it is likely a bad ballast.

Status indicator blinks RED, not starting.

There are different rates at which the status light will blink to indicate various errors. See manual (link below) page 49 http://www.support.nec-display.com/dl_service/data/user_manual/ENGLISH/VT37/vt37_manual_e.pdf
