Washer runs through wash and rinse, but keeps getting off balance

The washer goes through the wash and rinse cycle, but then keeps getting off balance and won't drain. Even after redistributing the load it keeps doing this and won't complete the cycle.

From what you are describing I feel your FAV6800A or FAV9800A has a Clutch malfunction see this post to get started on a DIY repair Clutch Fix.

The classic failure is the machine tries to spin up the wash basket starts banging from side to side then errors out with an unbalance error of dC or uC. Is that your failure scenario?

See if the post I link you to will help. Post back if you have any questions……..Rich

Why will my washer not complete its cycles.

It's possible that the gears in the timer are stripped at the point where it messes up.

My washing machine top loader once reaches the spin cycle, with 21minutes time remaining, it goes back to rinse and repeats the cycle. What is the problem of my washer and how do I fix it? Thanks

If the washing is not distributed evenly by the time it reaches the rinse/spin cycle, it goes back to rinse cycle. Be present at the machine when it reaches the spin cycle. observe the drum to see if it is of balance and swaying to the sides, if so distribute washing evenly. Usually happens if there is a big garment or more with smaller items,

Cold water won't stop before rinse cycle

if it fails to stop running only at the rinse part of the cycle it is probably in the timer as the solenoid valve has to cut the water off when the washer fills for the wash cycle too. fills for wash cycle and cuts off water, washes and drains, refills for rinse cycle and water just keeps running? does this every time you run it? that's in the timer. bad solenoid (water inlet valve) would keep running even on wash fill up. hope this helps.

Drum is loose during Spin and Rinse cycle and banging against side of washer

If it is under warranty, call Whirlpool at 1-866-698-2538. If it is out of warranty, try running the washer with no clothes in it in spin cycle. If it runs fine empty, it may be that when you had clothes in it they were not balanced evenly in the tub. If it runs off balance when empty, then a spring may have broken or come off. Contact an appliance repairman.

Washing machine off balance in one cycle

Make sure washer is on a level surface and all four feet adjusted properly. A slight forward lean may help with this problem as the out of balance switch is at the rear.

Fisher & paykel GWL11 washer won't rinse

sounds like you have two problems, the burning smell is probably the pump, out of balance is usually due to worn aout suspension rods

The rinse cycle no longer works

Likely the balance sensor is failed - or the motor controller itself.
