Try using chkdsk /? It displays help.

Actual cmd would something like: chkdsk e: /f

Don't be panic. you can try some data recovery software. You can see

If above does not work, you may have to format the pen drive (use quick format), and then use above mentioned software to scan again the pen drive and recover your files.

insert 512 MB USB go to click start control panel administrive tools computer management disc mangement you right click select properties tools check now tick in one box after its completed then return and tick the other box scan for and repair/recover any bad sectors and automaticall fix any corrupt files

You're probably going to have to attempt a data recovery on the drive as the MAC has likely corrupted the directory structure.
I suggest Easy Recovery Pro. People will brain me if I don't tell you to try checkdisk first though so those instructions are below. Honestly, I've seen checkdisk make the job of easy recovery much harder. Find this software if you can - I don't know if there is a free trial out there. Acronis may also have free recovery trial tools. Sorry, I have purchased all this software, so I don't know what exists for trials or how functional the trials may be.

First try running a checkdisk
right click the drive, and click properties
click the tools tab, and then error checking.
this will take a while so be patient.
